I wouldn't sell Cancelo for less than 60 mllion. Have a little sweet spot for Everton as they're quite similar to City in many ways, happy to see them beat Tottenham. Like seeing us be unreasonable to barca. Annoy them for a couple of weeks, then sell him for 25 million euros. If it weren't for the contract situation, he'd be worth 40-50 million imo. Please leave the Gimenez deal. He's one of the best center backs in the world, but only worth half the asking price. Now I hope we do a desperado purchase of Soyunku from Leicester or Upamecano. We could get one of the for 50 million probably, which is would be a great deal. Otherwise our best back for option is probably Cancelo, Kyle, Laporte, Ake -two players out of position. Maybe use Garcia instead and bench either Ake or Cancelo. Don't like where this no-center back idea is going. We also need a left back imo. Just pay Everton 60 million for Digne. He's probably the best defensive left backs, and one of the best attacking left backs too
It seems like the people running the club are letting personal bs get in the way of what's best for the club. When it's obvious that a bigger money club like city need and want the best player from a lesser club like Napoli, you might have to overpay some, that's just comes with being a big money club. City need to accept that reality and pay the damn money to improve the club. I can't understand why they are haggling over a couple million when they claimed they have $300 mill to spend this window.
I'm not mad that we aren't getting the KK deal done on time, I'm mad that we've been lackluster in targeting alternative targets. We knew what we were getting ourselves into with Napoli, they are hard negotiators so why not have a viable contingency plan? We put all our eggs in one basket and now if it blows up in our faces we're screwed, similarly to what happened with the Jorginho deal. I'm sorry but if Txiki doesn't get us a commanding CB that we need then questions have to be asked about his competency.
No World Class CB no CL this season but if Laporte stay healthy we can win the PL but if Laporte get injured again , we will end the season with 0 trophy
I am Pretty sure we are going to have a very difficult game against wolves. We dont have fernandinho in the cdm role. And only proven defender in our back line is walker. Man if we loose first game that will be a massive blow on our confidence.
Cant be signing a 29 yr old for that price thats madness . Besides how much value will KK have at 30 next season . Let Napoli keep him . City should get a cb that has speed Carlos or Konate i think Upamecano is too injury prone.
