The way I see it going down: They run it back with a new coach, Shanahan stays, Dubas extended, and the core four return. They go into 2023-24 without extensions for Matthews and Nylander. This is their last hurrah. They get bounced early again. Matthews and Nylander leave for nothing at the end of next year and the entire thing is burned to the ground then.

Hey top shelf in your opinion way back when nylander was a rfa for most of the season then signed near the trade deadline do you think that was their chance to unload him in a trade and get assets back that would solve their problems to get more competitive. Well, I think with the least need to do is make a coaching change. I’ve been watching Toronto Maple Leafs for a very long time and there’s no passion for the game like the olden days. It’s about money how much money I get there’s no grit for hockey and another thing is that being a Canadian team you will never win a cup Batman knows that TV right sponsors won’t like to watch two Canadian teams go out it or even one Canadian team I think with the four if Matthew‘s get a stall, I’d hate to say it you have to trade them. I don’t know what it is with the American people and I mean hockey players, but I also don’t know who goes behind closed doors.
