      I'm convinced barca have no intention to pay any of the debt, they are confident that the Spanish or Catalonia government will vail them out

      I feel like Barca are going backwards the last few transfer windows in terms of their squad composition. The scaling back of players and wages meant they could take a few gambles on some youth projects, bring in a different style of player, go into the free market for some bargains, but they seem to want to bring in soo many 30+ year olds. In 2-3 years time they're still going to be in massive debt because these 30+ year olds will be on decent amounts of wages still even if they're free and they're going to be having to re-fresh half the squad again already because they'd of aged out of this level. It's a bizarre strategy.

      bringing back messi on 25mil a year would be a steal. not only is he still a workd class player, the amount of revenue from shirt sale, sposorships, tv deals he would generate would probably help barcelona's financial problems.

      Hey boys, just have a few things to note about what you said,

      1.) regarding lowering the wage bill by €200m, we've already gotten €120m off it. €90m of them by getting rid of Piqué and Griezmann.

      2.) in regards to registering our players, that's going to be finalised BEFORE we sign Messi, it's part of the financial plan the club presented to La Liga.

      3.) in regards to risking our future, while I am worried about changing the whole system for 2 years, it will be a massive financial boost (we've already got the highest average attendance in Europe, he'd only improve it. Plus ads and shirt sales) and he'd only be on €10-13m net a year. Yes he'd be on nothing compared to what he currently is on or can be at Al hilal.

      The whole argument of we have "old players" and need to invest in youth for the future is wrong.

      And if you want to know how well this team plays, watch the Supercopa de España Final against Real Madrid, which is the ONLY time this set of players have played together.
      The average age of the squad is 25.5. This is not some ageing squad. Also, we have great talents like Ansu Fati (20), Pablo Torre (20) and Lamine Yamal (15!!!). We also might be bringing in Vitor Roque who's 18. So, the idea of we shouldn't bring in Messi because he's old is wrong.

      they havent researched anything and came to milk messi .. barca will offload pique's and griezmann's wage next season so 80 mil around is reduced . they need to reduce salary of busquets and sell alba . they need to sell all the loaned players except abde and they need to sell dembele or raphina asap. so they can still sign messi but they arent in a hurry at all

      again for a football podcast at least do your research: barccelona have one of the highest average attendances in europe, the stadium is in fact being complettly renovated, which is why they wont be palying at the camp nou next year. barcelona already have some of the best young talents in the world in Araujo, kounde, pedri, gavi, balde, ansu fati. all 5 cost less than what real madrid are about to pay for bellingham. its almost like you lot are trying to convince your self barcelona are about to go bankrupt and cease to exist when in fact they have multiple amazing young players that will most likely be there for the next decade.

      Alonso is used as a back up cb. Also Christiansen, arajou , kounde and balde aren't old. Pedri, gavi, de jong, fati are young and they are almost finalizing victor roque signing as well. So they are not an aging squad. Abde who is a sensational talent is coming back after his loan spell in ossasuna.

      Barca might've won this year's league, but this Real Madrid new generation is a ticking time-bomb. Barca are way too emotional with this and are desperately trying to hold on to the past (Messi) even if it means jeopardizing their future. Or in other words, they're treating Messi like he's bigger than Barca. Sometimes you need the sort of ruthlessness that is critical for change and keeping up with the times, Real Madrid has done so with many players, and this is why they are extremely healthy financially and even sporting wise.

      7:10 Clearly they have no idea about La Liga this season.
      1) The Nou camp has been hitting massive attendance numbers at every home game
      2) Barca are also going to start the Espai Barca stadium renovation project

      This has got united re signing Ronaldo 2 years ago written over it. A club signs Messi on a huge salary mainly for t shirt sales and pr get one good season then age catches up on a 37 year old Messi.

      7:30 You’re totally wrong about the stadium. Camp nou will be renovated starting in the summer and Barca will play in a different stadium for the next 1,5 years. The new stadium will have a capacity of 105.000. It will be one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world 🏟️

      if you’re going to talk about a team at least do a bit of research before hand. it is obvious none of you know anything about barca from “aging squad” when our main core are all 24 or under to talking about how we play or where our players play. i like you guys but please stop doing that

      what ill never understand is why someone like messi wouldnt be willing to help out the club he loves so dearly and play for free. hes already won every trophy there is to win and has more money than hell ever need. so why not play for free? ill never understand footballers

      I remember 3 months when people were comparing Xavi and Arteta to see who's better, Arsenal were top by 8 points and Barca were top by 9. Barca had Real Madrid chasing them and Arsenal had Man City, two top clubs with many, many top players and two of the best managers in world football. 3 months later…. Barca are still top, in MAY, by 14 POINTS… with one game left to win to clinch the title and still have 4 games to spare. Meanwhile Arsenal are 2nd, 4 points behind Man City. Both clubs have had injuries.. Barca had way worse injuries because Pedri, Dembele and Frenkie were injured for sime big European games in April and the entire starting defense was injured for the majority of the UCL campaign. Arsenal only suffered with Partey injured occasionally and now Saliba out.

      Keep in mind Arteta has been there for 4 seasons
