  1. Man city, real and barca all FFP cheats and bribers … hence always buying their way to trophies πŸ† and their regulators are all complicit

  2. Top super stars care about money, trophies, and stats. Madrid and Barca (not so much recently) have been able to offer these to players. Those two clubs are almost always guaranteed to A) win LaLiga and/or B) Win the Champions league. Since LaLiga's inception in 1929, Madrid and Barca have combined to win it 61 times! that's 2/3rds of its entire existence. The only other club to remotely come close is Atletico Madrid who have won it 11 times. Factoring in the Champions League, Madrid have won that 14 times and Barca 5 times (Inception of Champions league was 1955).

In the Premier League (also formally FL First Division) the only teams that remotely come close to those two are Man United with 20 followed by Liverpool with 19 and also keep in mind that this league, as we know it now, has been around much longer (1892 – not including the 4 previous seasons of just "Football League"). Only Liverpool has won Champions League the most with 6 titles.

There's also a lot more parity when it comes to the Premier League. Not every team stays at the top for as long as Barca and Real Madrid do. Sure Man U and Liverpool had long stents but not nearly to the same degree as Madrid and Barca. Your more likely to see other clubs do well and who have histories of doing well. Everton for instance, people forget or dont even know about it's history. Aston Villa was another one or even Leeds back in the 60s-70s. Not to mention the more common household names like Chelsea and Arsenal.

For a top tier player to choose Madrid or even Barca over a top flight Premier League club is to: guarantee money, guarantee trophies, and generate better stats. There's certainly less parity in LaLiga than there is in the EPL.

BTW: I'm a life long Newcastle supporter, so I understand the up's and down's the EPL has to offer.

  3. Gerrard turned down Madrid. I think that was a big mistake tbh. Look at the trajectory of Modric and Bale at Madrid.

  4. Weren’t they the one who said Madrid can no longer win top talent ahead of top EPL clubs?? Real Madrid is always going to be Real Madrid.

  5. If Bellingham becomes Madrid's number 10 for the next decade, after Modric retires, he'll be the most famous English footballer since David Beckham.

  6. He will learn quickly how toxic the Madrid fans can be. Hopefully he can make a good start or they will be on his back. If it goes pear shaped he can always call bale for recommendations on good golf courses 🀣

  7. I heard Liverpool had an option on Bellingham at Β£100m, with Bellingham going IF Liverpool qualified for the CL.

When CL qualification looked unlikely, Liverpool tried and failed to maintain the option, which is when news came out that Liverpool were out of the race.

Bellingham was then free to decide on another team, however even though Madrid do not have the Β£100m option, they are expected to pay in two inflation-protected payments of €60m.

  8. Its because no one wants to pay the fee in England and PL is tough in the middle of midfield he may be thinking the longevity of his career

  9. EPL slurpers still trying to figure out why people play for real Madrid oh yeah they only have more champions leagues in the entire EPL

  10. Why player joining Madrid, Munchen or Barca or other club outside of PL is because they playing for the club not for the league. Idk why is it so hard to understand

  11. England has a bad reputation for having bad weather, bad food, and ugly women. Why would you want to go there if you could go to Spain?

  12. Maybe it has to do that Real Madrid absolutely destroyed PL team in their champions league run last season and they’re on their way to do the same thing this year too?
