  1. I don't like this with players. Jules Kounde has been a center back sometimes he played right back with Sevilla and he played there for France at the World Cup. Ever since he's made that move to Barcelona, he's been their right back. It's helped Barcelona have the best defensive record in the league him Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, and Alejandro Balde. He's not a natural right back we know that and despite that he's looked really good for Barcelona. Even if he's a center back or right back, I don't care if your coach asks you to play a position you don't like, you accept it. Versatility, some players have settled positions but some players are world class in multiple different positions and he's doing well in a position he's not comfortable in playing, but Xavi will continue using him at right back cause with him and those other 3 defenders, they're not conceding a lot of goals and as a manager that's been their winning formula in La Liga and as a result of this Barcelona are on the verge of winning the league this season.

  2. lol the fact that this is a story is amazing, I would happily play out position to be a major reason why barce won the league . and I will happily stop playing lw ! and become gk to win the league mate geez

  3. I can't knock Kounde for this. We spent years looking for a CB and holding onto Pique far too long. We start to develop Araujo and look for a partner for him. We convince Kounde to go elsewhere, only to bring him here and play him at RB, because the Manager didn't want Dest and we had no backup plan for Dest. I would be upset too. Don't sell me on this move knowing you plan on playing me somewhere else.

  4. He wasn't brought into the club to be a RB. He doesn't even play it as well as it could if he was a true RB. He is a CB that has has had wonderful goal line clearances.

  5. This means nothing. They know what journalist do. They twist your words and create all sorts of stories . So that has nothing to do with if he is happy

  6. ESPN reminds me of Eric Cartman in this situation.
"Ooooo… Oh $hit, here we go, it's on. Race War!!! Race War! Race War! Race war is on everybody. It's going down….. Kounde forfeits. Whits win!

  7. Does Nacho like playing full-back? That question will never be asked I guarantee you that. But since it's Barcelona it's totally fine to question a player about the position his manager is playing him in despite them winning the league

  8. He could have still answered the question but be diplomatic "I prefer to play CB but the manager has asked me to play RB and I will do my best for the team in that position"…….DM this to his IG so he can use it if he's ever asked the question again.

  9. If Kounde is hating it so much why not play Araujo as Right back for few games!! I mean Barca can be solid with both Kounde and Araujo in the team it's not like Araujo can't play right-back!! Matter of fact, Araujo wants to move forward more often and can dribble past people!! Kounde can be perfect at CB with christensen!!

  10. I really hate football punditry sometimes, they try to make a big deal out of the smallest things. Not once has Koundé complained and Zabaleta says don’t complain! It’s simple he was brought in to play CB, they moved him to RB out of necessity. Just because you do something well doesn’t mean you like it. There’s millions of people who do their job well but probably don’t like it.

  11. I know people are gonna bash me for this and say the game has evolved and it doesn't matter anymore and bluh bluh bluh… but I don't think 5'11 is tall enough to play CB in a back 4… sorry. In a back 3 it would matter less if one of them is not quite tall enough, the other two can cover that aerial deficiency but when you only have two CBs you want two guys who are both 6'2 or taller.

  12. Funny part is he's more of a 3rd CB than a full back, when Dembele plays, only when Raphinha plays does he have to overlap since Raphinha is more of an inverted winger, these "pundits" don't seem to realise that the system looks like a 4-3-3 but is in effect a 3-2-5 with Balde and Dembele holding the width on either side, so it becomes 3 CBs at the back Christensen, Araujo and Kounde

  13. The answer should be “I’m happy to be a starter at the one of the best football teams in the world”. Full stop.

  14. It's clear he doesn't want to play there, but he's just doing it for the team. Well all I have to say is that he has to bring his A game if he plans to start CB at Barca, Cuz Araujo and Christensen are the best pair in the world right now, not to mention Martinez is coming in from Bilbao, he's gotta go plus ultra to get in

  15. All the lad said was he's not going to comment and when pushed if he's comfortable in the roll he has now he said "yes". To label any of that as complaining is simply unfair.
