  1. It’s hilarious because in Arsenals best season in 20 years, they’ve won the same amount as Chelsea have in their worst ever season. We know that Chelsea as a club are far more than capable to bounce back from an awful season and win a trophy the next as we’ve seen many times, in fact I wouldn’t put it past Chelsea winning a trophy before this “amazing” Arsenal side.

  2. chelsea have been winning plenty of trophies, they are a great cup team, but thats what they have been the last 5-6 years, no 2nd place finishes in over a decade.

  3. Csec makes a great point. But he forgets the number of leaders that we had in the team. This current crop barring Thiago Silva, there are no leaders next season.

  4. Net spend graphic potentially distorted. According to Squawka 22/23 net spend of Chelsea is £480.57m. Discounting this year, that's a net spend of £720m. This will mean that in the same period Arsenal's net spend is only 30m short, and both are close to 3/4 of a billion. JFH is right, it's not about the money, as Arsenal narrative is bafflingly that of a wholesome underdog story, and not that of a club owned by an American multi billionaire who has also pumped billions into the club with very limited success. If they lose the title, which looks more and more likely, that narrative will be unchanged.

  5. Chelsea have better chance of winning a trophy by organizing their own league, bribe referees, pay the opposing teams' salary which is cheaper on the amount they've spent on January.

  6. 100% losing streak and still can’t say that the experiment has failed?!😮😮😮 I love it when English poster boys are embarrassed and English media make excuses for them!

  7. The only problem with Fabregasts' comparison is that team he was on had won the PL a couple years before. None of these players have won the PL other than Sterling.

  8. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 All of them sucking off Lampard by diverting attention from his managerial failings. Great player, but managerial FRAUD!!!!!!!! 🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂😂

  9. While Cesc may emphasize the responsibility of players, it is crucial to acknowledge that they largely follow and adapt to the manager's tactical instructions, positional assignments, and formations. The tendency for players to focus on individual performance rather than cohesive teamwork has proven detrimental.

Establishing a consistent rhythm within the team necessitates fielding the same group of players, as it provides a level of certainty/consistency. However, if the manager continues to alter formations and team selections frequently, it becomes challenging to achieve this desired continuity. The issue extends beyond the players themselves; the manager's role is equally crucial in fostering team cohesion.

  10. Yesterday's match it was a pure showcase of how elite this Arsenal club is. Can't wait next season for this team to smash Bayern or Real Madrid in UCL.
And lastly.. Yesterday Odegard proved that he is better than De bruyne and the best midfield in EPl.

  11. Cesc Fabregas care more about Chelsea than Lampard.
Example of why sometimes pundits can be having more clear assessment than a manager.
You buy enzo 120m, mudryk 100m, play them every week to see is these guys gonna make you ein trophy or not.
Lampard with his ego goes for sterling eventhough he never got the result. What he got is to chase the losing scorline and play the gems in really late scenario hoping they would save his face.
He was lucky Madueke save his face last night.
In the end its also on the manager because to get to 90minutes you need a really solid situation to begin with, and your starting XI is the answer.

  12. I have remember Chelsea completely giving up in 2015/16 and finishing 10th. There was a game against city where they lost 3-0. In that game all of them were pathetic but the clearest moment showing it was Fabregas 'closing down' sterling. He looked like he couldn't be arsed in the slightest, and just walked towards him. I'm not even a Chelsea fan but I remember that capitulation vividly. It's a bit rich for Cesc to talk about "You have to look in the mirror, yourself, and ask questions".
