That is a foul on Mendy. Trailing foot, nowhere near the ball, catches Mendy on the chest. Anywhere else on the pitch and that is given as a foul, so the decision is correct.
VAR dictates the result because of the pressure to interpret a foul. All those pundits saying VAR was necessary: It cuts both ways. Should have been 2-2.
But galvanizing for Chelsea to win, they'll be fighting fit next match.
VAR and its operating minions need scrapping.
