Following a 12-month battle with acute leukaemia Carl Ikeme was forced to bring an 18-year Wolves career to a premature end and retire from professional football in July 2018.

We invited Carl to spend the day at Compton Park; meeting old friends, touring the updated facilities and taking part in a training session for the first time in nearly five years.

  1. It was quite emotional to see Carl walk out on the Compton turf for the first time in years. Great servant of the club and was a fantastic keeper, definitely had potential for England. We love you Kemes /_/

  2. I had tears in my eyes watching this…
He could have given the Super Eagles a wonderful world experience in the 2018 World Cup…
It's good to see him getting involved again.
Much love and respect for you Carls….

  3. Waoh! This is real good news ΓΎo be received on the resurrection morning. Ikeme has finally "resurrected". God continue to bless you with abundant grace to continue and not look back. It's also a good news for Nigeria.
