Saint-Maximin is another Newcastle player who contributes loads to local food banks…
These players aren’t obliged to do this sort of thing, so huge respect from me & I’m sure the people who depend of food banks would’ve appreciated the gesture?
What a guy everyone goes on about our ownership without realising what they’re doing for the community. Newcastle and the north east in general is one of the most deprived areas of the country since the shipyards and the pits closed down we’ve had mass unemployment severely poverty ridden areas. The Newcastle owners donate money to local food banks schools etc to help people in need. The Ruben brothers double the money that the Newcastle food bank take on a match day. Fair play Callum Wilson
Newcastle players are always at the foodbank helping out
Class act. I took a sabbatical post 9 years of working in consultancy, in order to do charitable work. I'm now registered for multiple volunteering jobs with tower hamlets council, and also help the elderly with their pets through the cinnamon trust. Everyday is wonderful when helping those who need my help, and it makes me even more upset that I gave away so many years running after money and bonuses. There is truly nothing more rewarding in life than helping those in need.
Callum Wilson – humble bloke
Well done Cal!!! 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤
Great interview, so glad to see footballers shown positively and to show young people where they came from and not to forget.
Football aside gotta respect it well done Callum son
What a great player and a great person❤️
Top bloke
Have BILLIONS to give Away for FREE to other countries that hate the british yet the British can't feed or shelter there own. Bloody Joke. Well done Callum
Great stuff callum it's so kind of you. respect.
Putting the chicken dippers back into the community
Beautiful man inside and out. Great role model, to others. Just a shame we live in a world where food banks are still needed.
Brilliant man
Good for Callum for doing this. It’s disappointing that in “First World” Britain, food banks are increasing. It’s time to end this self inflicted financial crisis and start to live in a more equal society. Food isn’t a luxury, it’s a need. Definitely, the Premier League with all its riches can help. Invest in community projects like allotments, artisanal (artisanal means handmade) food shops like bakeries as we see everywhere in the world. etc..
"Food isn’t a luxury, it’s a need". Not to deputy chair of the conservative party Lee Anderson it isn't! If you can afford a can of coke for 70p you can save 70p. If your finding energy bills too high, then live in the dark. 30p Lee, is what Ashfield voted for and represents the core of conservative politics. Dog eat dog. If you can't provide then that is on you, go and train and get a better job. It's your fault your in the position you're in, we'll help with the bear minimum but it's up to you – regardless of circumstances – to do all you can to help yourself. Everything is up to you based on your past experiences, If you only have one leg, then hop! Stop complaining about things you can't change. If your a single parent with more than one child, maybe you should of had a better partner or had less kids. That is the core of the elected government.
Our kids were at the same football academy for a while. Used to chat with him sometimes. Down to earth, grounded, polite, friendly. Not at all surprised to see him doing things like this. Great guy.
Class Cal👏
