There is no reason for Rashford to stay. Manchester United is a football club, where required footballers. If the club keep him, ten Hag will be sacked in 18 months. There is no changes in this finished football club.
I would support Erik ten Hag no matter what, but I don't have any hope or expectation from the Dutchman, because there is no top managers will come to Manchester United, that's why they are being top managers.
In the most recent interview from Mourinho, the Special One said things we all can sense, this football club is beyond repair. There is no single one at the club can identify the core of the problems at Old Trafford, including Ferguson.
You cannot run anything where your employees never suffer the consequences, there are people at United, part of the failure in last nine years, somehow not just remaining at the club, but also being rewarded.
Everything the reports said about Erik ten Hag will have his says are lies. There are people who decide at the club who stays, who goes and they don't watch Manchester United play 90mins in regular basis.

No point getting excited as yet until we get the here we go. We have to trust Ten Hag to know the caliber of players that we need. He obviously sees something in these players.

Great show Mary. I have no issue with players who want to work and improve getting a "second chance" under Ten Hag, and Rashford has shown in the past he has talent so I'd hope with the right attitude and training he can rediscover (and improve upon) that past form. Ultimately any decision on the squad has to be Ten Hag's – therefore if any player leaves, whether I like them or not, it'll be done with the best intentions of the team as a whole and I can't argue with that.
As for a new CB I'd take Demiral and / or Torres. I haven't seen much of Timber although height isn't the be-all and end-all for me (Puyol was a world-class CB and wasn't the tallest, nor is a unique case). I think Demiral has good attitude / leadership qualities in that he's aggressive and vocal – something we don't really have at CB right now and I think he's got room to improve further. I like the idea of the left-footed CB, and it's something Ten Hag usually goes for if he can, so I see Torres as a possibility although there are other left-footed options out there.
I'd like to see some early action in the transfer window given there's about a month before pre-season starts – that's a priority for me. As someone mentioned in the chat; I'd also like to see the club actively looking for a CDM / CM so the possibility of a McFred midfield duo isn't the first choice option for next season.
