If we're talking about the league alone I think Antoine Griezmann has been the best player in the league of late. Ahead of the likes of Karim Benzema, Robert Lewandowski, Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric, and Pedri in La Liga alone since the turn of the year. Antoine Griezmann has rediscovered his best form since his return to Atletico Madrid and he's the best player in the team and was critical in France getting to another World Cup final last month.
Let’s say atletico beat Barca and Madrid win. Then 8 points with 8 games left. The pressure will get into these Barca players if they lose Sunday.

It's between Griezmann and Vini Jr for player of the season. Griezmann has been great for both Atletico (once they stopped limiting his minutes) and France (best French player at the WC until the final, really).
I predict an Atletico win, which ironically would also suit Barcelona since it puts more pressure on Real Madrid.
Griezmann in 2022 WC, down to but the final he'd had the ratings of the highest performers in that France squad, top 3 Ballandor contender TWICE IN A MORE THAN LESS DEFENSE CLUB, Euro 16 MVP, that same year he's been voted the player of the year in laliga with Messi, Cr7, Suarez, Neymar and Benzema contesting him! A World Cup winner, who has been voted MOTM IN THE FINAL in 2018. Underrated player and is arguably better than some of the "so called" best players in the world because of his magnificent ability to be so effective and efficient defensively! This is for the ones who pinned him has overrated because of his "no" laliga win. Do let this soak in along with the fact that Hazard has a laliga who scored only 5-7 goals in the span of three years. Gain perspective before you talk trash on Griezmann. He is massively underrated his whole career.

Griezmann is my favorite player I wished he could have stayed at Barca and rejuvenated the form!! The price tag put on him was a burden for him😑
Hard to believe, there are still people who are hating on him blindly and most of em are Barca fanboys , who can't believe there club was dead at that time and Griezmann still won them their only trophy and still got used to another position , Now he's free at Atletico doing what he does best
