It’s been a busy year for Manchester City. As well as adding a 6th title in 10 seasons, signing Erling Haaland, and trying to extend Pep Guardiola’s contract, their parent company, the City Football Group, have been busy behind the scenes, closing a deal to bring Palermo into their family of football clubs, bringing their total number of teams to 11.
On today’s Explained, we look into this system, its similarities to rival football business Red Bull, and how it has helped City build a world-class side – as well as some of the deeper motivations behind Sheikh Mansour’s investments.

Are man city buying clubs or the owners are?
This video has massive hater vibes
Middle Eastern tyrant oligarch gangsters love spreading their money around as a PR exercise. In this context it's called "Sports Washing" but it can work with any cultural brand that the masses are fond of and will therefore turn a blind eye to their State Atrocities and Human Rights abuses. It's similar to Goebbels propaganda philosophy; that the Advertising industry utilised from the late 1950s to the present day and counting. Sorry to spoil all our love of football as FD Fans and viewers!
Seems biased towards the end.
Chelsea have a large loan system
Affect: thousands of kids given a chance to train and become a professional footballer
Everyone: boooo boooo booo evil Chelsea. Loan system is bad for football
Man City buying up club after club
Affect: bias towards a particular company who own multiple clubs
Everyone: 👍 seems legit…………..
Newcastle and cfg are just part of whitewashing in football
LFC vs MC fac semi final 2022…appx 5k MC fans & 75k LFC fans. Trophy parades of 2022. RMadrid, Milan & LFC appx 500k+ crowds. MC parade appx 40k fans. Conclusion? Quiet literally, no one in the sporting world or on the street gives a flying fig how many trophies or football clubs Abu Dhabi buys.
So biased
Do you research before you spit facts out.
City is valued at 3.5B pounds though
The other cfg clubs aren't really feeder clubs for man city. No players at any of those clubs have gone on to play for city
What a stupid video filled with wrong information… And also you can't say to it's for polishing the picture of the nation you can say it's for polishing the picture of the government of the UAE… I know that you guys hate everything about the middle east but come on
A script written by a Man United fan 🤔
It is City Football Group that is buying football clubs, NOT Manchester City.
How much long will the agenda against Man City continue?
UNDERRATED VIDEO 🤌🏻
Very misleading and inaccurate content. This is really disappointing.
Liverpool fan ALERT🤣🤣🤣 CFG and Mancity are not the same MATE.
Manchester City DO NOT buy Football Clubs. The Headline is a complete wind up. CFG buy Clubs and Man City are one of them.
this video is just steeped in misinformation and click bait
Welcome to Palermo💗🖤💗🖤
Even if they bought clubs in all 221 FIFA member countries and supplies them with billions of players still won’t be enough to topple a football royalty like Real Madrid.
A feeder system for MCFC?! What a load of bollox.
We don’t buy clubs what is this bullcrap… what is this city agenda
Keep crying #CTID
