The Chelsea defender Thiago Silva believes the club have been wrong to sack managers this season and said players need to take responsibility.

His words come after Chelsea exited the Champions League following a 4-0 aggregate loss to Real Madrid in the quarter-finals. Silva said: ‘There is always going to be someone upset because not everyone can play. The manager can only pick 11. From 30 something … we need to stop and put a strategy in place otherwise next season we could make the same mistakes’.

Maybe they should make Tiago player-manager. Not the worst idea in the world.
You can hate football but you can't hate this Man. ❤
Very reasonable, he sure know things about managing a team
Find new owners
Respect to this man ! Love Brazilian Portuguese too 🙌🏾
When your owner is a Toad and pretends to be a Bully
When Abramovic isn't the owner anymore, Chelsea is very much different
Listen to the knowledge🤔
Thanks for telling the truth, Thiago.
Imagine the captions were wrong 😂
Balls – a thing English players lack.
Boehly has ruined this club that were world champions just two years previously.
He is right. Thiago Silva despite being 38 years old in a team that has spent 600 million and he's been Chelsea's most consistent player this season and the fact that a 38 year old is your best player in a team that has spent millions that tells you what this Chelsea team has been all about this season. Clearly they overspent and your blaming coaches tactics seriously what about your lack of footballing knowledge sacking managers at a wrong time Tuchel didn't deserve to be fired, Graham Potter should've never been hired as Chelsea manager but instead of sacking him without the coach himself being able to implement an identity you should've given him more time the problem is Chelsea have been strict towards managers they go through a poor run of results and they get sacked when Abramovich was there that was the policy regarding managers, Todd Boehly has sacked managers with the same ruthlessness but it's obvious it was a mistake. He spent 600 million on players sacked 2 managers in the same season how does that work. Thiago Silva has a point that the players need to take responsibility and perform you're all expensive and on a lot of money we can't keep blaming the manager owner or the lack of a striker too many excuses I know they've been unlucky with injuries this season but yeah this season is pretty much over for Chelsea and this summer not only an overhaul is needed, Chelsea need to change their transfer policy right now.
Fair play to Thiago Silva for this, he's spot on.
Spoke like a proper leader. Someone who understands what it takes to build success at this level. Ownership would be wise to listen.
Such a leader, wish you've arrived earlier
This man will go down as a Chelsea legend for me. World class player, strong leader, and ardent supporter of the club. Such a shame that we could not sign him much earlier in his career.
now watch Boelhy sell him for daring to speak his mind, just like every other competent person that used to work at this circus of a club
Agree 100%
🇱🇹✌️🇺🇦🇱🇹
Finally someone said it. He is one of the few that plays with passion for the club.
Brutally honest. Always gives his 110% on the pitch. Already a Chelsea legend.
The owner thought this is American football and you need like 50 players in a team
I like every club besides Chelsea
The first thing is to sell or let go of Silva.
He said everything
Has there ever been a brighter footballer on and off the park?
30 plus players and they keep playing havertz as a striker? Where auba? Felix? Sterling? The new guy?
He said more than the legend has shown
LFC fans: U should be thankful 😢
True professional, the only player to show his class and worth the past two seasons. He has been consistent on the pitch. has true leadership qualities. Not a Chelsea fan, but i am a Thiago Silva admire . At 37-38 years old and being the best player out of 39 players.. in a team that's run like a circus.. deserves respect
Silva is wiser than the ex-manager and new owner…
When a defender has more sense then the board of directors on how to direct a club…
