Hello and welcome back to Continental Club where today Dougie and Henry are joined by Tom Underhill, author of “The Working Hands Of A Goddess,” a fascinating book about Atalanta’s journey over the last 10 years, their progress under Gasperini and what makes the Bergamo based club so successful.

We quiz Tom about his research and also give our thoughts about some huge moves in Serie A this week including Bremer’s move to Juventus over Inter Milan and Roma’s capture of Paulo Dybala, asking have Inter Milan ruined their own window?

Not only that but we predict our Serie A top 4 for next year and analyse the business the big teams still need to get done.

  1. Richarlison for 60 mil. Rest of spurs business has been solid, but thats a bit much for me, for somebody that hasnt been exactly consistent + had shown sides of quite a weak attitude/mentality. Hope conte gete the best of him, rather than us being stuck with him with no payout for years to come.

  2. I think Juve have had a great window and a good squad but I can look past how much worse Allegri makes them.
Milan's business has been excruciating, if they sign CDK and Sanches I'd fancy them to push for the top again but I don't have much faith they'll get those deals over the line. As it is I'd have to go with Inter.

  3. I wouldn't write off Napoli. Losing Koulibaly hurts, but Mertens might re-sign and Insigne had only a few non-penalty goals (still a great loss naturally). They are on the verge of bringing in Kim Min Jae, Deulofeu (18 goal involvements in Serie A last year), Simeone (22 goal involvements), and Solbakken in January, and have already signed Olivera and Kvaratskhelia (who looks insane, best player in Nations League as of writing, and has 3g1a in 90 minutes of pre-season from left-wing).

  4. I don't know what's more incorrect about EFD always likening Sneijder to Dougie. Firstly he looks nowt like him and secondly its SNEIJDER not Schhhhhneider. You're pronouncing it like Berndt Schneider. The no 'ch' in the pronunciation of Sneijder.

  5. Huge well done to the boys, thoroughly enjoyed this episode despite usually preferring the usual cast than the episodes with guests. But was actually real interesting to hear about Atalanta over the years, definitely a much liked team across Europe. Also can’t help but feel like Maehle would benefit from having Adama Traore on the opposing wingback to himself, not sure at what team mind 😂

  6. Great Video!
If Milan get their deals through (CDK, a Central Defender, someone for the right wing and maybe even another surprise striker) I think they could push for the top. I don't think they need another mid fielder as Adli and Pobega look to be really exciting and interesting prospects.
I still think people arent giving them the credit they deserve for their work over the last two years and winning a 20th Scudetto would really be an amazing story.
So ill go Milan, Juve, Inter, Roma althought Juve and Inter could both end 2nd or 3rd.
