it's very strange that ppl did not see Klopp grooming TTA to transition into midfield, this has always been the case, season by season, Klopp has been adding additional tools to Trent's armoury for him to do well in midfield.

No current England midfielders can pass the ball like trent does
2 seasons ago Liverpool had a lot of injuries especially the injury to Virgil and everyone was calling for 5 or 6 new players to beef up the squad especially at CB. We finished the season in 3rd by stringing a few wins on the bounce in the run in. The summer transfer came along and Klopp decides to only buy 1 player in Ibrahim Konate….the following Liverpool play in every single game available winning 2 trophies and narrowly missing out on the PL by a point and the CL by a single goal. Klopp might only buy 2 or 3 players this summer and not the 5 or 6 people are calling for.
To me it's obvious who Trent is like: David Beckham. The right midfield role used to be common but now you're either a winger, a full-back or you play in the centre. Trent doesn't exactly suit any of these options to me. He would have been perfect as a right midfielder.
Liverpool must sign Ndicka on a free from Eintracht Frankfurt. Although not the finished article yet, he young, physical with good passing abilities. The guy can play center back, right back or in a back 3. Also, it safes some money to invest in midfielders
