Today, we’re taking a look at Paulo Dybala’s sensational move to Roma, and what it means for the 2022-23 Serie A season!

Paulo Dybala’s Roma unveiling outside the Colosseo Quadrato to over 10,000 fans was a sight to behold, not only a depiction of the fanatical and romantic relationship between the club and its fanbase, but also what such a signing means to the Giallorossi. A year on from the glamorous appointment of José Mourinho as manager, Roma now have one of the league’s most revered attackers on their books, following a season in which they won their first silverware since 2008 and their first European trophy since 1961, taking Dybala from the most financially dominant club in the country and beating Inter to his signature. It’s perhaps no surprise then that, as reported by the Athletic, the club have sold over 36,000 season tickets ahead of the new season, their most since 2004.

The Friedkin Group, who took over the capital club two years ago, clearly have big ambitions, not least closing the gap on Juventus, Milan and Inter, and their latest acquisition is an indication of this. But how will Paulo Dybala fit in at his new club? And can he help Mourinho secure his first league title in eight years, and the club its first scudetto since 2001?

  1. Mourinho X factor can win them Europa League.
Serie A is harder cause Injuries do happen and if your squad is not deep enough you lose momentum. I still got Inter, Milan and Juve ahead but Roma are certainly in the title conversation for sure

  2. Sure they just got Wijnauldum, but they just sold Veretout, they have no depth in the midfield, only Cristante as a sub and thats a fucking joke, in the attack the same, sure they´re closing Belotti and they have El Sharawy, but thats it. In the defense thet still need at least a great center back. Right now i´d say they probably have top 4 on lock, but tittle? They need more.

  3. Roma does not have the talent or depth to go beyond top 4
Each and every other team have atleast 3 50m+ value player good depth which roma doesn't
    Their defense is shit
It's because their coach is the special one people are just hyping up
I wish they finish top 3 but it is very very very impossible

  4. they now have an incredibly solid first XI and viable options for key positions (Zalewski, Belloti, Cristante, Celik, El Sharaawy, etc.)

I cane see them easily winning the UEL but not quite reaching the Scudetto, YET

I'm very excited to see this team!

  5. This is fucking laughable. They were atrocious in the league last season. They finished 23 points behind Milan. Dybala will get injured, Wijnaldum isn't exactly a difference maker any more, Matic is like 50. They'll be lucky to qualify for Europa League.

  6. Its gonna be a interesting season, Milan and Inter have only improved, Juve have taken steps to rebuild and look better, Fiorentina have managed to make a pretty interesting team. Atalanta and Sassoulo are unpredictable and Napoli and Lazio is also there but Lazio have struggle abit last seasons. I think 5th is most likely but top 4 is definetily not out of the question

  7. Step 1: start talking about winning the league
Step 2: claim the season was a failure if it doesn’t go that way.

Stop it. They’re building a good team, whatever comes, comes.

  8. If Roma comes in 4th this new season and wins the Italian cup, no one should complain.
Of course winning the Europa cup will be icing on the cake.
