      Only premier league defender to be runner up in 2019 ballon d'or. That says it all. Others outside the prem league are likes of cannavaro, roberto carlos, Franco baresi, Paolo Maldini

      In terms of being best in premier league history he doesn't make top 5 for me personally tbh I'm having Ferdinand, Terry, Vidic, Kompany, Adams and Stam ahead of VVD

      VVD massively overrated, Trent overrated, Henderson never made a forward pass, Oxelaide Chamberlain a joke, Milner Ancient, Salam supports terrorist group, Nunez waste of money, Gakpo a Flop, Fabinho a massive cheater. Jurgen Klopp renouned for working officials. Liverpool victim mentality clowns

      VVD is not even in the top 20 best defenders of all time in the PL. He's NEVER the CB challenging for the ball, Matip, Gomez or Konate do the challenging while he drops off, waiting for challenges he knows he will win. When he is in a one on one he looks awful. Liverpool's front 3 and the midfield 3 winning the ball back with the press gave the Liverpool defence an easy time. Now the press isn't as good VVD has had to do some defending, he's not all that, never has been, said it for years.

      Maguire gets the blame Not a word that since Varane signed they ended up 6th Got trounced by Liverpool 7 0. Or Maguires had Shaw and De Fear in goal but he gets the blame.
      Now can dick its the midfield to blame ?
