  1. Xhaka showed a flash point for first time in ages but we still had plenty of opportunity to stop the goal but trent could of been sent off for raised hands but I think a talking to both would been the the best thing liverpool were always gonna react 2nd half

  2. Arsenal fans please don't let this dumb narrative run and try scapegoat Xhaka. Arsenal Football Club were bad today and were dominated by a great Liverpool. This is not Xhaka football club. We were bad on the counter and could have punished them there. But same way Liverpool could have punished us in many occasions. Great game. Bad game for the Title race.

  3. '..with the help of the terraces'. That's a fantastic point made by someone who knows the real meaning of that statement. Nobody outside of the club would make such a profoundly true observation.

  4. blame it on Xhaka time 😂the crowd were going to get going regardless because Trent reacted. Xhaka had nothing to do with shocking defending for 2 goals

  5. I don't believe Xhaka did anything wrong, he simply stood his ground. The referee incensed the situation by dishing out yellow cards.

  6. That was classic Xhaka returning. I would have given him a right rollocking for that, TBH I would have subbed him straight after and brought on Trossard.

  7. As a Liverpool fan im so fed up with Van Dijk. Team ran up to defend Trent and Van Dijk, who is supposedly a leader, turned his back.

  8. As soon as this happened I knew the game had changed, flashbacks to last year from Arteta. Xhakas had a great season but he's the one player I'd change in the starting XI if we do make a big money move in the summer. TBF Kounate seems to take 3 small kicks at him so no wonder he was amazed he didn't get a foul.

  9. There's no doubt the entire dynamic of the game shifted after this incident. If there's one place in the world you don't want the crowd on your back, it's Anfield.

  10. Xhaka didn’t do anything. He was accelerating towards the ball to make a challenge .. then the ball was passed away.. then he had to decelerate.. and had no time.

Why is Carragher talking total nonsense?

The Arnold attacked him and Xhaka didn’t like it.

  11. As the arsenal fans said moments before Liverpool scored, “where’s your famous atmosphere?”
There it was for all to see

  12. There's been a lot of tempers flaring in recent games and not just in the PL either. Let them bloody fight for heavens sake, liven it up a bit. it's been a while since I have seen the likes of a full on Man Utd V Arsenal brawl on the pitch lol.

  13. Sloppy narrative from you Carra, referring back to rubbish stories from previous years, started by Trent and you can't blame him for Arsenal's poor performance.

  14. Absolutely spot on, same thing happened last time when Arteta lost it with Klopp and the Liverpool fans suddenly woke up, Xhaka woke them up again and the game changed. The only saving factor is that he didn't get sent off!

  15. No mention of Konate hacking Xhaka to the floor a few seconds before? Paul Tierney not calling a blatant foul is the reason for Xhaka’s frustration.
