      As a United Supporter I’m not disappointed with losing out on Gapko. My preference would be with Jonathan David’s, Sesko or Tooney.

      I think most of you , seem to forgetting about van Nistelrooij (amazing footballer and now coach of psv ) and , van dijk , depay ? Whom all came from psv and transferred into a proper European league , he for sure talked with van dijk, his captain at the Dutch national team ? To make a switch to Liverpool .. a team similar to psv I think ! Always a bit of a outsider , but dangerous and winning championships, making fun of our accent .. sound familiar ?

      I think it’s safe to say that while most Utd fans didn’t understand why Man Utd wanted Gakpo, Ten Hag wanted him and that was good enough. Casemiro, Anthony, Martinez etc were Ten Hag choices and worked very well so why not back your manager? It’s a gut shot that he chose Liverpool but as mentioned before fans want a proper CF and while Gakpo can be that he is more well known as an inside forward.

      What is more interesting for me is the number of scousers rubbing this transfer in our faces. Even 4 months ago I don’t think we would have got this level of reaction. Back then the Scousers really thought Man Utd were beneath them, so why act all smug when they ‘pinch’ a transfer off us?

      This season has really rattled them and I’m loving it.

      I’m not really shocked he’s gone to Liverpool.
      Liverpool are missing Jota,Luis Diaz and firminho possibly for the next 4-5 matches so they are light up front what I find shocking is the fee 40-45 million. Yet we pay 85 million for Anthony when this guy has 21 goal contributions in 14 games guaranteed United got quoted at least 90-100 million in the summer why else would we have gone for Anthony.

      I feel sorry for losing him, but I don't think it is a disaster, as we are well stocked in options in that position. I think missing out, or not even trying on other players like Gvardiol, Bellingham or Camavinga and Håland in the past is a much bigger problem, and a sign of things to come.

      Rubbish united paid 100 for antony and 75 for sancho liverpool didn't even pay 100 for diaz and gakpo its ridiculous he played as a 9 for holland in a team that didn't create chances often imagine what he will do in Liverpool his finishing and ball striking ability is elite maybe has to work with his back to goal but playing for Liverpool he won't because they have jota or nunez for that they've literally 6 top forwards now that get in any top team maybe at least 4 of them do

      Steve. Is Gakpo better than Rashford absolutely not! Martial possibly? Sancho absolutely not! Anthony absolutely not! Elanga, potentially, but he hasn’t got Elangas work rate.Garacho absolutely not! What on earth are we going on about. I’m happy with the forwards we’ve got and give them a chance. Plus we have Donny Van der Beek. I suppose we could BAN every other club from the transfer market😂. Comeon Steve. We’re not a million miles away now we have energy, motivation and organisation. I’ll take my chances with Ten Hag and the youngsters we have coming through in addition to the lads we have…..even Lindelof and Wan Bassaka.

      Ten hag doesn't like players who are not technically gifted. Haller, tadic, brobbey, kudus etc can all play with the ball at their feet but mitrovic cannot. I doubt united gets anyone this window.

      I really don't get the UTD BOARD they seem absolutely incompetent??You we're paying the G.O.A.T RONALDO £40+ MILLION a season in wages.And now he's off your books that money could of bought GAKPO for a measly £37 MILLION + £13 MILLION in add-ons.Because there's no doubt that kid would of elevated that UTD TEAM.And I'm a LIVERPOOL FAN BTW and us LIVERPOOL FANS are just as shocked as UTD FANS but in a different way..FOOTBALL is a funny olde game STE 😁👍

      Whether we were serious or not about Gapko (spoiler alert: we were), once again our shambles of a recruitment team couldn’t get their act together. As a result, I think we can kiss goodbye to the top 4.
