Something I've noted over the last week or so on all the streams (which have been great, by the way) if there's all these great players out there at reasonable prices, why haven't we gone in for any of 'em ?

When I saw PEH as the topic I got excited that he was linked with a move away. I was disappointed to hear it was more about the myth about him being a leader. The only thing that article got right was that Hjobjerg yells at his teammates, usually after he has made a mistake and is trying to blame others which happens all the time. Big up Igy for doing these videos, hopefully next time it will be because of good news that Hjobjerg is leaving!

I've always totally respected him, he always leaves it all on the pitch, under the rubbish that was Mourinho and then worse, Nuno, Hojbjerg was pretty much the only player who kept going, putting out everyone else's fires as they slacked off. I agree about his ability but his qualities are essential in any team. Respect to you Scott M but under Nuno there was a hell of a lot of blame to be dished out, I remember thinking, Oh my god, I've got to boo Kane because he couldn't be bothered…Hojbjerg could!
Itโs an opinion report not a fresh report from a reliable journalist so no need to get hyped over an opinionated article, plus how the hell you have been living under a rock from when we signed him to where we are at now!! He was the midfield general in mourinioโs spurs. He had the same aggression that mourinio has, and that was the reason why we signed him. If we didnโt sign him when we did then mourinio would of been sacked sooner and we would of been in turmoil for the next few years too

You can say that Hoj is good. But he doesn't deserve to be equal to Manchester City or Liverpool. It is not a financial resource to play in the top four. The top 8 to 12 are also suitable players for the team, and I am sure that Conte will use another player as a midfielder this season. Oh, my God. Hoj replaced Eriksen!

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg played too many games last season,I donโt think he was given the chance to rest and it showed at times,heโs a quality player.
Constant talkers on the field can be beneficial: Tomas Mueller and Conor Coady are two that come to mind. PEH has qualities that every manager admires. With 5 subs this season, he will be a useful squad player but at the end of the day, I expect Skipp – another managers' fave -to play more games (if he stays uninjured).
If Pierre and Yves get on the same page, that midfield will be one of the most bothersome to opponents
Re leadership, I agree he has that capacity and has good character, but sadly he is not quite a good enough player the demand it from team mates, Keane, Viera etc weโre guaranteed starters. With the inclusion of Bassouma you canโt say the Dane will be thatโฆ
Heโs a good player, but just too limited going forward to be a Tottenham great. He popped up with the ocassional late run into the box and goal or assist it would be different but canโt see that ever happening.

Getting over run in midfield in games and get out played is what I hate are midfield just has no creative play which isnโt his fault

The word you're looking for Hojberg is a grafter.
As a Dane myself, honestly… Pierre Emil is pivotal to our midfield. He has played some of the most important balls to the attack last year
Pierre should be captain if you ask me.
We love him here in Denmark, not because he is a skilled player… but he is a born leader. He fills the holes that no other player see.
If bissouma and Hรธjbjerg Can find a connection, then we have the most scary midfield

In my opinion. I think Hojberg is a very good squad player. As soon as you pair him with a decent or good midfielder he shines. Mourinho, Nuno and now Conte have all started him in majority of the games. There is a reasoon for that. So thats why for me he is a good squad player.
We'll need all 4 CMs this season. they come across as different players and characters. Happy with all of them

Hojbjerg is a great player, a warrior, however, Skipp was always ahead of him before Skipp was injured. Both Bentancour and Boussouma are way more technically sound. This puts him 4th on the list, and if an attacking midfielder possibly coming in he would drop to 5th. I see him becoming a squad player. With 5 substitutions he will get game time, but heโs definitely fit me not a starter.

TOTTENHAM COME TO CONQUER
The only criticism I have for Hojbjerg is when receiving the ball and team needs to attack he passes the ball back and team loses 2-3 seconds and momentum and allows opposition to settle. Causing Dier who got the ball back make a long ball pass.
Hojbjerg need to learn TURN ATOUND quickly himself and move the ball forward. But he is a workhorse and one of best to disrupt and collect scrap balls and tackle. He does some fine through ball passes also.
