The Sound of Green | Introducing our new National Team crest ☘️⚽️
Our new National Team crest, a nod to the past but set for the future. A symbol that represents our pride, passion, ambition and truly celebrates our iconic shamrock. ☘️⚽️
Could you not have made it straight? And why the need to put the word football in? Just say Ireland. Honestly, the FAI can mess this up in spectacular fashion!
Rumours of €100k being spent on this? No need for the use of 'football' whatsoever. It's cheap looking, as is this video. Dreading the nonsense that Castore come out with, at extortionate prices for what are recycled school jumpers like they did at Sevco HQ.
Like it. Now what about FAI getting its act together with the new crest. Like other national associations lets put and a flag with new emblem on every seat in the Aviva for the French game.
As predicted the usual moaners and whingers are coming out of the Woodwork. There's no pleasing some people. When you hear eejits complaining about the Shamrock being tilted you know that you're dealing with First World Problems.
FINALLY. I've been complaining about the current crest for years. Glad to see the shamrock back, it's one of our national emblems, along with the harp (official state one) and the Celtic cross (still on the NI crest along with many GAA ones). Would be more authentic to go for "Éire" and "Peil", but the English terms "Ireland" and "Football" are still better than the cringy "ROI" and "Soccer". Unfortunately "FAI" can't be used like the national FAs that appear on other country's crests, because of reputation.
About time we use our shamrock ☘️ an emblem of Ireland , the last crest was shocking and used by many other country's ( same design) great to have Irish crest bk , diarmuid

Designed by a 5 yr old!
Not much of thought went into this at al
It's about damn time. ☘️
Well, it's definitely a shamrock.
Oh god
Looks boring imo
All this not long before the ladies head off to the Women's World Cup. Everyone will have to buy themselves new kit. Fair play FAI, well done
Great to see it back- shame it’s not upright
Looks horrendous. Was it designed by a child? Why change it?
Should say Éire

I like minimalism when it comes to sports logos. It's not bad, but I would have preferred the shamrock on it's own with Éire written above
I say if it's sown into the jersey and not a sticker, it will be nice
Was this not an old Aer Lingus logo?
… nothing to apologize for here…. 😴

Not bad. No matter what you designed people were going to complain. It's better than that shite we had before.
My own personal opinion is Eire should be there. I would have just liked a shamrock on it's own in white or a harp in gold.

Credit where its due, they've done a good job. Old one was poxy
should be more gold instead of orange, and should be Éire not Ireland
Definitely an improvement at least it's obviously a shamrock ☘️ on it , COYBIG 🇮🇪

This replaces the blank cheque inside a pint glass, which was the FAI’s badge during the Delaney era.
I like it. Maybe ÉIRE at the bottom instead of ‘football’
Wonder will the team be called Ireland now as well ?
Should be a Covid logo
Very disappointing. This ad needs way more women. …….😏
Why was it ever replaced??? Being saying it for years. I couldn’t see it in that last crest which was identical to the Isreal one by the way

Bring out our national symbol "the harp"
