  1. Could you not have made it straight? And why the need to put the word football in? Just say Ireland. Honestly, the FAI can mess this up in spectacular fashion!

  2. I like minimalism when it comes to sports logos. It's not bad, but I would have preferred the shamrock on it's own with Éire written above

  3. Rumours of €100k being spent on this? No need for the use of 'football' whatsoever. It's cheap looking, as is this video. Dreading the nonsense that Castore come out with, at extortionate prices for what are recycled school jumpers like they did at Sevco HQ.

  4. Not bad. No matter what you designed people were going to complain. It's better than that shite we had before.

My own personal opinion is Eire should be there. I would have just liked a shamrock on it's own in white or a harp in gold.

  5. Like it. Now what about FAI getting its act together with the new crest. Like other national associations lets put and a flag with new emblem on every seat in the Aviva for the French game.

  6. As predicted the usual moaners and whingers are coming out of the Woodwork. There's no pleasing some people. When you hear eejits complaining about the Shamrock being tilted you know that you're dealing with First World Problems.

  7. FINALLY. I've been complaining about the current crest for years. Glad to see the shamrock back, it's one of our national emblems, along with the harp (official state one) and the Celtic cross (still on the NI crest along with many GAA ones). Would be more authentic to go for "Éire" and "Peil", but the English terms "Ireland" and "Football" are still better than the cringy "ROI" and "Soccer". Unfortunately "FAI" can't be used like the national FAs that appear on other country's crests, because of reputation.

  8. About time we use our shamrock ☘️ an emblem of Ireland , the last crest was shocking and used by many other country's ( same design) great to have Irish crest bk , diarmuid
