Senior reporter Geraint Hughes reported from the Wales training camp ahead of Wales’ Euro 2024 qualifier against Latvia.

Aaron Ramsey will lead Wales out as captain. It will be the first time he has worn the armband on home soil since replacing Gareth Bale.

It is not the first time he has skippered the side in his country, having been handed the responsibility earlier in his career by Gary Speed.

But the Nice midfielder says he feels far better prepared for the position now.

  1. Never take any international opponent for granted. I know this game is classed as the easiest game for us in the group but we drew 0-0 at home to Estonia not that long ago with our full team out. Plus Latvia scored a screamer against Ireland the other day.
