Pep has signed him based on a moneyball strategy. His stats and Torres' stats are off the chart. Torres for example doesn't have a lot of goals and assists, but Torres barely gets any chances because Valencia aren't great, therefore his chance conversion is actually really high. I imagine Pep sees that Ake doesn't make mistakes, has high clearances and has pace and thinks against certain lower table teams he'd be ideal for crosses and balls over the top. With Ferran he's likely thinking in a good side he could get 15 goals 15 assists
