I think healthy competition for places in the Blackstars is the way forward and Chris is just doing that. God guide Chris and his technical team. Go Ghana, go Blackstars.
The next international break will be interesting in terms of competition for spots, lets also not forget that the likes of Owusu and Kyereh returning from injury. We are honestly stacked in midfield with lots of quality, the issue was always about getting the right balance. Hopefully Chris can find such a balance soon. The striker woes still continue, solutions will be needed to solve that area too. It would be good to see other CB combinations, the fact that Amartey has started every game since as far back as 2021 is quite baffling. I wonder if anything will happen regarding the LB issue, Gideon Mensah really didn't make a good account of himself for me. It would be great if those who performed off the bench in both legs are rewarded with a start next time, Paintsil and Bukari for instance.
I feel Inaki is secluded from the Ghana team. You hardly see him communicating with some of the players. Yesterday I saw some clear chances where he was awaiting for a pass but was ingored. You might not see it, but I will entreat you to watch the match again. If he gets the chances as often and misuses it, we can throw out tantrums on him. But to be fair, I feel he is not recognized by his team mates. That is my personal observation from yesterday's match.
