The sacking of Graham Porter was long overdue. But his departure is not even the panacea for the problems affecting Chelsea. The perfect solution,if rules permitted, would be to give the new coach a total fresh start by offloading the baggage of unproductive players. And I can assure you they are there in dozens. Start with defenders who cannot run,the disjointed midfield and finally the strikers who shoot for the sake of shooting but not to score. I need not mention names but a new coach/manager with the same crop of players will go nowhere.
