The Canadian men’s national team have booked their place in the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup after defeating a 10-man Curaçao 2-0 in Concacaf Nations League action on Saturday, mathematically guaranteeing a top 2 finish in their group to secure their place in the summer tournament.
First-half goals from Jonathan David and Cyle Larin secured a straightforward victory for Les Rouges, who will now look to defeat Honduras on Tuesday at BMO Field in Toronto to secure top of the group, and participate in the 2022-23 Concacaf Nations League Finals.
A win would also help maintain a top 4 ranking in Concacaf, which is key to qualifying for the 2023-24 Concacaf Nations League Quarter-Finals … where a win in *that* stage secures a spot in the 2024 Copa America. So… plenty to play for on Tuesday here on OneSoccer!

terrible
Coulda easily scored 8 if canada was acc serious
Hopefully just the pitch messing them up
Only Canada fans can look at a comfortable win away from home on a bad pitch against a team who beat Honduras and call it terrible. It’s like you guys forget these are the type of wins that got us to the World Cup in the first place.
Nice one guys. Although Canada MNT need to play more friendlies with Europe and other countries
Next up Honduras gets slapped at BMO Field.
🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿
Should have done better against 10 men but great to walk away with the win. Go Canada 🇨🇦
What channel can I watch the games
Win at BMO vs Honduras. And into the Nations League semis. But also into the qualification playoffs for Copa America, correct?
level of concacaf is really bad .i think the worst compared to the rest of the world .literally only three teams that can actually play soccer , usa , mexico and canada ,the rest cant even be called soccer teams .
Give it a rest some of you! Three points sealed, no injuries we're in poll position ahead of the BMO Field game. Why be mad?
Ooof. Rather than federation officials pockets, funds need to be used to assure each nation has at least one stadium that meets a minimum standardized professional quality field in order to participate- host a CONCACAF home game. If you can't meet that- game to be played at neutral site. Not impossible- high schools play on a better surface. Disclaimer: This has absolutely NOTHING to do with the capabilities of the lovely people of Curacao or any of the smaller nations, but the officials who run their programs. Issue not always isolated to small nations- USA has hosted matches with deplorable fields- grass placed over artificial turf days before a match coming up in clumps during a match.
Similar to the game in Haiti, got the job done
Nike kits are so terrible…
U.S. vs Canada will be the final. Going to be a good game.
What the World Cup made very clear is that Canada still has a long way to go to be a legitimate world-class side. As nice as these Nations League matches are, Canada is never going to develop to its full potential as a footballing nation by playing the majority of its matches within CONCACAF.
KRO Juninho
Big win, boys🇨🇦🇨🇦 Huge game coming up tomorrow
Davies is so overrated. Canada should have done better, but they got the W, that's all that matters.
what's with the negative comments? We didn't easily win these matchups a few years ago…this is serious progress. How does a nation start to take a sport more seriously? through success and progress. Similar to our Basketball team which is now a major player unlike 10 years ago.
