Martin Braithwaite has signed a contract termination with Barcelona, as per Fabrizio Romano.
The Denmark striker will now sign a three-year deal with Espanyol.
Romano says 'it's over' for the striker at Barcelona. However, Braithwaite's chapter with Barcelona has been over for quite a while with Xavi telling the 31-year-old he wasn't part of his plans.
The striker will smile to the bank with a settlement close to €3m, sources say.
Barca spent €18m to bring Braithwaite to the club two years ago and placed him on a €6m gross salary.
The Denmark international claimed just 10 goals and 5 assists in 58 appearances as a Barca player before falling out of favour with Xavi.
Braithwaite is now set to sign as a free agent for Espanyol – a club Barca didn't want him to join their second biggest rivals after Real Madrid.
EDIT: It is confirmed it was only £150k to terminate his contract Braithwaite accpeted this because barca told him he would have 0 zero minutes for barca again. Plus Espanyol offered a similar salary to Barca.
