Harry Maguire feels he doesn’t need to prove himself for England and in my opinion, that attitude is something that directly contradicts the fundamental approach of Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.

“Satisfaction leads to laziness.” That is one of Ten Hag’s most repeated quotes and that is why Maguire saying this is a real red flag. What’s your take on this?

  1. He's a self entitled wolly it shows how good he is by the amount he's played for us this season he's third choice all the time and I'll be honestly relieved once he's been sold

  2. Sam don’t waste your energy talking about Maguire. He hardly plays for us and will likely be gone in the summer. He’s only the captain by name. In reality, there are 4 or 5 leaders ahead of him in that dressing room, 2 of whom play in his position.

  3. What u mean he is not a terrible defender, he is absolutely terrible. Everytime i watch him play i am always uncomfortable becos he cannot even read a game, positional play is bad, clumsy tackles, too slow, no leadership qualities & he blames other team mates for his atrocious defending. Martinez covers his mistakes all the time when he plays. Maguire DONT DESERVE TO WEAR THAT MAN UNITED SHIRT. HE MUST GO.

  4. I cannot believe that they made him captain of Man United when there were so many other players who would have made a great captain. He is a disgrace.

  5. So by Harry's standards, the most decadent and exquisite restaurant in the world can feed you baked beans out of a can and charge 3k for it. Because they proven they can cook on the highest level in the past And if you are not ok with that, you are disrespectfull. I see. I think I understand.. right?

  6. Italy scored that goal when they played England thanks to him. Stupid pass and tackle from who else? The legendary Mcguire. 🤣

  7. I remember I commented on his character after an interview he gave when United were struggling. He said something along the lines of "this isn't good for my career". Point being, the team was suffering and he comments about HIS career. Like, dude. STFU.

  8. he feels his has done enough but in football u cant do enough, u get better and better and better because the game changes and if u are comfortable with wat u have done then football will leave u behind, ten hag said good is not enough keep going harder keep pushing ursef to do even more ronaldo didnt relax wen he won he went for more messi went for more, this is something that has kept most England player behind in football,

  9. If history gets you in the team, sancho should be selected. He’s being selected mostly because we don’t have that many good British centre backs… and imo, even with what we have, he shouldn’t be playing for England. Btw, it’s annoying that he constantly name checks/blames others for when things go wrong, even when it’s clearly his fault.

  10. I mean the best always have the need to prove themselves against something does he need to prove himself that he is a good player no but does he have to prove he is good enough to be with the best of the best yes! always !! there is always something you can improve in any field no matter how good you are! for example the world's best mathematician torrence tau, when told he has nothing to prove responded I am nothing to Einstien, Euler, or the prince of mathematicians Fredrick Gauss motivation to always improve, is how you stay on top!

  11. Yeh I think he was talking about international level not club level cos I’m sure he has much to prove still. You can’t argue with what he said really, he’s been far more successful at international level than the like of Terry, Ferdinand and co.
