If he is out for a while, of course it's a problem & I hope it isn't to serious & we get him back asap, but at least it'll force cooper to play Scarpa in his favoured position & change tactics to some degree. It may even be a good thing for johnno to have some time out, & good for the team too. There's an awful lot of pressure on him for 1 so young, that isn't fair, he must be feeling it. We've become far to reliant on him & we're far to predictable when he's playing, not Johnson's fault of course, he's been our main attacking threat this season. I just feel that teams have figured us out, mark Johnson out the game & our attacking threat virtually disappears, gw can't do it on his own. Scarpa is an unknown entity to most teams, they won't be familiar with him or now how to deal with him, if he gets a decent run in the team & recreates the form he had in the Brazilian league he'll give us a new dimension. Not to mention we need his dead ball skills from free kicks, corners etc.
I don’t think he should’ve risked him against us. I appreciate he is your main threat and a superb talent but he should’ve sat Friday out instead of aggravating whatever injury he has and risk being out for months instead of just a few weeks. He potentially could be missing for the run in when you really need him.
Dont worry,Cooper will know someone in his fifties who can step in,
We shouldn’t of risked him against Newcastle
why would you risk a long term injury when we got Scarpa match fit n waiting… if this turns out to be a month out it's nothing but negligence from Cooper and the medical team. we've had too many long term injuries
