This reminds me a lot of Paul Scholes. he was the black sheep of his generation and could do nothing right and always got played out of position or not at all in favour of other midfielders that he was consistently doing better than at club level. His decision to retire early from international football allowed him to play much longer at the top level. I hope other players make the same decision when Southgate is picking favourites instead of on form and club performance

I am English. I am also a Man Utd fan. England will win nothing with Southgate in charge. Even though England got to a semi final and Quarter Final in World Cup and final in EURO, we had easy routes to those tournaments and then Southgate's negative defensive tactics cost us against Croatia, Italy and France. Why did Southgate wait until England went 2 1 down to make changes against France. He then brings on Sterling instead of Rashford which makes no sense whatsoever. Rashford would have helped England beat France if Southgate bright him on earlier against France. Southgate is a toothless arrogant loser. And good on Rashford for putting 2 fingers up to Southgate. When it comes to football, is Man Utd always with me. England I do not care anymore. Also they need to change the National Anthem, because it is so outdated. I cannot stand Royal Family.
