Big fan of both, and they both debated well… but Simon just looked petty and juvenile at times. Eddie has his faults but he had greater knowledge and was less egotistical in the debate

Even JW cutting him off, asking follow up questions before he’s even started to answer the first question, I’m huge SJ fan but his cheap shots and childish behaviour let him down.
Gareth nailed it. Despite everything Eddie says on drug cheats and following the BBBofC ruling, he is still prepared to bypass the due process and just make a fight outside of UK with Benn. He is prepared to use any loophole that suits him and doesn't give a damn about failed drug tests. We know this from Whyte v Rivas where Whyte failed a UKAD test and the fight went ahead, without even telling Rivas team of the failed test until after the fight! That's how much he cares. In the debate, Eddie tried to claim credit for pulling the fight, even though the fight was only pulled when the BBBofC sent him a letter saying it wasn't being sanctioned. The Whyte fight tells us that he doesn't pull fights even if his fighter fails a UKAD test, so the talk about BBBofC not recognising VADA tests is irrelevant, even if it was UKAD he still wouldn't care unless the BBBofC don't sanction it. He is good at fooling and manipulating casual fans who don't actually understand how the sport works, which is his modus operandi, that's what keeps the wheels turning and money flowing.

Eddie hiding behind the actions of the British Boxing of no Control as Mr Jordan called them is too convenient for my liking especially as Simon said that lots of their revenue comes from the promoters. For me Boxing as a sport is ruined. The promoters, fighters and Boxing boards turn a blind eye to many things just to keep the cash cow going because everyone gets paid.
Why is no one condemning the WBC for actually clearing him to box again instead of saying Eddie shouldn’t promote him or he should do A, B, C…..
