Luis Suárez is undoubtedly one of the most controversial figures in modern football history. However, his sheer ability has arguably managed to erase his more divisive tendencies.

He spent some of his best years in the red side of Liverpool, but there’s something that I’ve wondered for some time now; did he do enough to be considered a Liverpool legend?

  1. I remember a disallowed free kick goal where he just stuck his foot under the ball flung it in the air and dropped in the goal was unbelievable and they didn't give him it.

Cheeky outrageous and just a legend. Favourite guy I've seen grace the grass legend for sure

  2. Liverpool fan here. I believe he's the best natural finisher we've had since Fowler. Imo better than Torres at his best, and Salah. I also think he's the most unpredictable player we've ever had (for better or worse); the outrageous things he would attempt, and pull off, would leave people not believing their eyes. He had the dribbling of Salah, finishing of Fowler, long shots and dogged determination of Gerrard, creativity of Torres, audacity of Coutinho, and morals of an Albanian pimp. What's not to love?

  3. Not a legend, just a clinical player that liverpool used. But def not a legend. Just another guy in the squad. Thats like saying sergi roberto a legend when dude was just mediocre. Sure he scored against psg. But he is a dud, not a legend of barca

  4. Definitely a Liverpool legend. The football he played at Liverpool was like nothing ever seen before. His goals and everything. He was our own Messi. He almost won us the league title in 2013/14 all by himself with mediocre team mates.

  5. Suárez didn’t actually use racial slurs, it was a mistranslation on Evra’s part because they were speaking in Spanish

  6. Best striker I’ve ever seen grace the premier league, the man single handedly carried Liverpool while he was there. Next to neymar and messi he was just another superstar

  7. He was that good during 13/14 they were comparing his goals scored to teams. The stuff he did with the ball was unbelievable. It was a gift to watch him play that season. If he hadn't of been banned for the first five games Liverpool would of easily won that year

  8. His abilities, his audaciousness, his volleys, his work-rate, his competitiveness, his goals…
I don't care he achieved more after he left LFC…
His last season at Liverpool was the most remarkable season by any player in the Premier League. The fact he did not win the Golden Boot that year, says more about European Sports Media, than about Suarez!

  9. I have been to Anfield many times and he is still the best player I've seen live. I was at the 5-0 one man demolition of Norwich, where every goal was world class. One of his last goals in that game was a 30 yard+ free kick, and compared to the other goals it was bang average. He was fantastic for Liverpool, I wish he could've stayed much longer.
