      I just ask myself if Leeds fans are particularly belligerent and grumpy but when I check out the fans of some other clubs I hear the same complaints. West Ham and Everton are practically rabid nowadays. Then again, Liverpool, Spurs and even Manchester City fans are chewing their elbows at the moment. Hilarious. Conclusion: “I’ll never wake up in a good mood again, I’m sick of these stinky boots.” (Jim Morrison, An American Prayer.) You are amongst the last of the online Leeds fans I can listen to currently Ger. Most of the rest of them give me stomach ache. Thank you for your beautiful touch of equanimity and intelligent good humoured perspective.

      I'm thinking we haven't named a replacement for our coach leaving because they must be looking for a replacement manager they normally bring their own backroom staff

      Jesse needs to be given time to bed the new players in. Along with players returning from injury, the squad is looking much better than when Bielsa left. Results are needed and as long as they start to come soon then Jesse should be given the credit he deserves for the rebuild. I can't think of a bad player that he has brought in, he wasn't responsible for Firpo or James. He also had to cope with losing the two best, most influential players in the team.

      I’m still very much behind Jesse. We are playing good, if we were playing bad I’d understand the Jesse sack debate.
      I know we need wins, everyone needs wins, but I believe it’s going to click soon. 😅

      Agreed on Jesse. The defense needs to be sorted. Offensively we are playing so much better, but we can't keep shipping goals. I hope that he can win the next several league games, but if not I understand getting a new coach.

      Feel for Marsch not sure that he deserves the toxicity around this…. as ive mentioned thousand times Leeds are exactly where they are supposed to be bottom 6 or so… With the amount of player turnover anything more is unrealistic for now!

      Personally I think the board can see it coming together and I'm positive the players can. They just need the fans backing 💯 imo. We're 14th with a game in hand (I keep saying this) in a tough season for at least 8 or 9 teams. The board has not spent money bringing in 4 ex JM players to then sack him. He will have until the end of the season I'm certain and the sooner rads or 49ers say that the sooner fans can just say ok let's back him win, lose or draw. We are good enough for 14th at least imo. What position are you expecting us to finish in for JM to keep his job next season may I ask?

      Really hoping for a lb signing. Struijik has been off. It seems like him or Koch will be a depth player for us this year. They still make a lot of mistakes. Marsch has said that Wober is best as a cb. His long throws could be a reason to play him at lb. We just need a defensive line that can actually play as a unit. It seems like every time they step up, someone lags behind and the opposing forwards can push into the box.

      Ger, your comments on Just Joe stream were spot on imo. I liked the idea of bringing on an assistant to the manager who specializes in defensive play to counterbalance Jesse's attacking strengths. Do you think Jesse would do it?

      I dont think Jessie would be in this position if the board had of backed him with the money for a striker in the summer.
      I get it, there are other problems within the team, but we have had periods that we should have put teams away, we probably should at least have had another 5pts.

      I didn't understand why wöber didn't start against Villa. Seems Marsch is digging His own grave. Now Rutter is coming and Sinestera is in His way back Marsch will have to Delivery. WE played Well against Villa But at the end of the day Zero points

      So concise yet full of info great job as always Ger. Regarding Jesse, at the start of the season I said I would give Jesse 10 games before I commented. I did this , but was so confused, at times we were just brilliant and playing like world beaters, yet what has been consistent is the nightmare we call a defence. Even allowing for the poor play of some of the defensive corps, it is not enough to completely exonerate Jesse, who through the next 5/6 games proved beyond doubt that he cannot sort out the defence., or at the very least get some consistency.
      As far as Jesse is concerned for me right now Ger, I believe he should be gone. I would be willing to accept him staying the remainder of the season, if a proven defensive coach was brought in and Jesse admits he is struggling there.

      Ger all these latest signings seem optimistic for Leeds I fear the board will stick with Jesse now even if he's heading towards the cliff edge. Wouldn't it be ironic if leeds won the FA CUP. 40/1 BILLY HILL.. I hope rutter performs his stats weren't to impressive. We don't want anymore 2 point oooooos, ie firpo, kristenson, arronson & ausgustan. LMAO.

      I want to bring up a point you and other guest discussed on Joe's video the other day. You were very critical of the Red Bull "System", saying it doesn't work outside of smaller leagues.

      I think all of you lacked a lot of nuisance in this conversation. There is no 1 "Red Bull System"…there is a playing style that is pressing/attacking focus that has evolved over the years, but it's not as if every RB Manager implements the same system. Jesse utilizes the "old" RB System popularized by Ralph Ragnick, but Ragnick himself doesn't even use that system anymore, at least not in its purest form. So to blame his problems squarely on the "RB System" at Scum and not acknowledging the lockerroom/personnel issues at the club, among other problems I think is disingenuous.

      Julian Nagelsmann further evolved the system, refining the pressing triggers, making it a more possession-based system utilizing more width. That was Jesse's main problem at Leipzig, he wanted them to go back to using the old system and the players weren't happy with it & wouldn't buy into it.

      You also mentioned Hasenhüttl as if he was a total flop in the PL….even though he was at Southampton for nearly 4 years and did a relatively good job for 3 of them given the players at his disposal. He was even voted Manager of the Month a few years ago. And he too wasn't stagnant in his formation & tactics like Jesse seems to be.

      Also, the RB System has had success, when you look at RB Leipzig's record, there is a lot of success and they've gotten results against some massive clubs.

      It's just the way you guys spoke, you made it sound as if the RB "System" in all its iterations has been a total failure when that's simply not the case, and I am convinced that RB Leipzig under Nagalsmann or Tedesco would comfortably be midtable if they were in the Prem.

      Edit: But also want to add, love your work, please keep it up!

      Ger with out being to pessimistic if we have three key players out with injuries & suspensions we are back again stuck in the marsch, we haven't got the strength in depth like man city, man u, arsenal.

      Hi Ger, another good one. Transfer window, I was chanting the Left Back/Striker mantra months ago. Left Back – almost, Striker – yes, so anything else now is a bonus ! As you say though, they are no good as bench warmers, get them in the thick of the battle !!!!!

      Sounds like the chairman would much rather sell Ounahi to Leeds. We really need that connector from defense to attack, Rutter will help with this as well as he gives us an option to go long down the channels. I hope it will help our struggling back line and remove some pressure!

      No point sacking Jesse when new players are coming in, he needs time, has to be an end of season decision unless we are in massive danger of being sucked into the drop zone

      I think that ounahi, so we can play 433 will make a big difference but the truth is that I don’t fancy any of the back line. If we had a class lb and a rapid centre back who could read the game we’ll be able to succeed with Jesse

      Thanks Ger another great news report. If we are considering getting rid of Jesse does that mean the players we've brought in are or are not his choice? I agree with you that we need to put the new players in the first team not on the bench.i am hoping Rutter hits the ground running but also that we buy another couple inc a goalkeeper as it looks more and more likely that Meslier is leaving in the summer.

      Great update. Really enjoyed your contribution to The Last Word with Joe and fellow pundits. I really enjoy analytical and tactical analysis and yours was spot on. We deffo need a defensive coach and I would also like to see us sign a right sided CB. Personally think Marsch will be given until Saints game. If we’re still struggling then I think he’ll be gone. Will be interesting to see how we get these new players into the team. Fingers crossed we turn things around and push up the PL table.

      I'd have Sean. He would chill the team and the crowd. Noticed Arsenal saving energy after each of the 2 goals. Interesting to hear Jessie quote the high octane and misplaced energy of the Leeds crowd.

      The board need to have a rigid plan in place that says if we lose our next 2 league games JM goes we need a minimum of 9/10 points out of our next 6 games as the gap between 14 & 15 is already widening .. finding another manager is probably difficult but that’s something for the board to sort out .. enjoyed your views on the JJ show keep up the good work

      Prefer Seko Fofana over Ounahi even though Ounahi is probably a better player cos Ounahi seems sooo skinny and the way we play I am afraid he would break. Fofana on the other hand feels physically strong and well rounded, a much safer bet

      If Jesse stays he needs a good defensive coach yesterday, and sort out his late subs, I can't see anything changing though, I like him as a person but I had enough of him against Leicester, Chelsea and Liverpool don't even look like good wins to me with Southampton beating Chelsea too and Liverpool playing like they have, love the potential of the squad but feel he's not the right guy to use it

      The board should have been improving the squad in every TW since promotion not just the last 2 windows in summer and this January. We have seen investments so I won't complain but we wouldn't have needed so many players had a more structured plan and investment been made prior to this year
