Quotes from Manchester United defender Luke Shaw ahead of the Carabao Cup Final against Newcastle United

He discusses the abilities of teammate Lisandro Martinez, the speed at which Ten Hag has turned the club around, what he expects from the final and how big a moment it is for the club after 6 years without a trophy, how he reflects on 8 and a half years at the club, how his motivations have changed over time and says he and the club are in a good place.

  1. His technical ability is levels above. Can ping it anywhere
So many of our goals either start with with Licha tackle or a Licha longball

  2. With few but important additions to the squad Ten Hag has been doing a great job. Only few would have said that he would get the right results on season 1. As a Utd fan its been a joy unlike past seasons when it was a real pain to watch at times…

  3. What happened after the first two games is Ronaldo was thrown out and Maguire was relegated to the bench and boom, the team chemistry went to 100%

  4. turning point imo was benching a football legend like cr7 and club captain Maguire. those are two massive decisions and it could go either way, im glad it goes in a positive direction
