  1. Sorry Alexi, Most of us out there are respectful and kind with our words. You are making a false equivalence comparing the rest of doing the same thing. Tighten up your commentary. Cheers!

  2. Pardon Me I watch world – wide leagues and see future potentially GREAT players performing as such….still waiting on GIO and Pulisic for that matter!

  3. I think Mosse's right, totally. Reyna could be viewed as toxic – or he's too complicated. Because you have to separate this from what he might do as an executive and if this creates conflicts & harms relationships. At some point yes I think time could help pass some things. But right now Reyna has some work unfortunately to rebuild reputation and that'll take time. This was really ugly for them.

  4. Or Berhalter was so butt hurt by his son not playing for Austin FC that he sabotaged the US Soccer World Cup & held out Reyna son as retribution 🙄🙄🙄

  5. There is a plethora of reasons to drop Gregg as the manager. This situation should not have been the thing to send him out.

  6. I really hope they aren't actually considering Gregg stay on. At some point, ppl need to recognize the pattern of behavior. GGG had issues with hoppe back during the gold cup, Weston got sent home during qualifiers, Brooks had his fallout with GGG, and now the Reyna drama…

Common factor in all these situations is Berhalter. Of course, each of the individuals involved are adults who are responsible for their own behavior. But clearly Gregg never had control of his locker room. Not a good man manager. Also very ineffective from a tactical standpoint.

  7. They are all idiots. Yes. Shameful on all parts. More embarrassing than Wagatha Christie. Not sad, just an embarrassment. Don’t let the kid Gio off the hook. He loves it.

  8. The USA dropped the ball here.
..the Reynas should not be able to cry wolf and get what they want. And at this level it's completely H****S***. Gio cries to his mommy and she does THE KAREN THING and gets her way.

  9. I mostly agree but you gloss over some serious conflicts of interest that would never be allowed in other professional organizations. The two most prominent ones are Greg's brother hiring him and Greg coaching his, then, best friend's son. He personally referred to Gio as family. Ernie, Brian, Greg and Claudio were all personal friends too. Everyone with authority was in the their friends and family plan. We need to do much better than that.

I like Bob Bradley but we had a similar issue when he coached Michael Bradley on the national team. At least at that time, the head of US Soccer wasn't another Bradley or close family friend.
