Credit to Damiani, he already looked troubled and badly unsettled after the first round. Mixed feelings on that stoppage. On one hand, the ref's seen his eyes and body shape right after the punch, which in slow motion literally looks like it could have killed him, on the other hand, he seemed to still be all there with his senses and hadn't hit the deck. Probably a sensible decision.

I understand why ref's do it but I don't like these early stoppages when the guy as not hit the deck, or even had a count, though it looked like there was only ever going to be one winner, Young Johnny got a bit to go but he is getting there.

Damiani either had a clause in his contract stipulating he can't throw more than 8 punches in a round, or he's got the boxing skill of an ironing board.
What's Fisher going to learn from a guy like this? Zero.
Fisher reminds me of David Price; looks great coming forward but what's going to happen when he gets cracked on the chin because his defence is pretty poor. It's all plodding power punches and no finesse. Hopefully they work on a lot more footwork and where to keep his hands between punches.
He can go 20 – 0 fighting guys like this and then get a big pay day and ko'd – if that's what he want's that's up to him, but if he wants to progress properly he needs a lot more work. He's had no armature experience and he's way behind where guys his age should be.
