It’s been a theme throughout his career that nobody tends to want him around after a few years. He’s not really good enough to be problematic and he appears to be. If Chelsea can’t get a buyer or another loan I’d pay his contract out and tell him to screw. It’s absurd really because Lukaku can score goals. He’s big and strong and very useful. It wasn’t so much that he struggled, it was the style of play that didn’t suit him. Lukaku thrives from through balls into the channels and playing on the turn yet we were playing constant sideways and backwards passing with nobody to spot his runs (enzo, Felix). How will he score if nobody gives him the ball?

Football got too tactical for Strikers like Lukaku and he doesn't have the pace like Haaland to make up for it. So he's in a weird situation where he's relying on his teammates to do the off the work and create just for him to have a shot at goal.
