Callum Wilson didn’t know too much about it but had the ball in the back of the net, only for it to be controversially disallowed by referee Lee Mason. What do you think?

WE AREN'T EVEN TOP ANYMORE!!!! Thank you so much ref. Thank you so much. Thank you. So much. SO. MUCH.
He was right to disallow the goal. He clearly stood in front of the keeper. If you was allowed to do this how the fuck would the keeper ever be able to release the ball.
That's a goal. The Goalkeeper shot because he wanted to.
I don't support Bournemouth but Lee Mason is the worst ref ever to ref a Premier League game
I am a wolves fan and I think that it is a goal
Someone who didn't know much about it seemed very keen to look where the goalkeeper is. Lee Mason was spot on for both disallowing the goal and booking the goal-hanging cheat though he should have given him a second yellow for dissent.
If i had 500 euros for every idiot who comments on this situation without actually knowing the rules of the game i would be much better off.
The opposing player cannot do that and he knows it. The goalkeeper cannot be stopped from making the necessary movement. The reason why you don't see players stopping the keeper from quickly launching a counter-attack by just standing in front of him when he is trying to kick the ball is because that is illegal.
No goal he was offside, where was the defense on the play?
wilson wasn't obstructing him all he had to do was step back a bit or move to the side and he could've easily kicked the ball if anything he should be sent off for kicking the ball at a opponent
Lee Mason doesn't know the rules, wish the linesman was the ref.
There's no controversy here. Law 12 is clear that you cannot prevent the release of the ball. Anyone who is trying to claim this opponent wasn't trying to prevent the release is blowing smoke. The goalkeeper did have the option to step sideways but the onus is not on him to do so.
Shud b a goal keepers a retrard by kicking it right at him instead of moving and I'm not even from England so I'm not biased btw
100% right call. The announcers should know better.
3 factors why the goal should stand:
1. The player is standing to the SIDE of the keeper and outside the box to stop the keeper dropping the ball to take the kick from the floor and waste time – the keeper takes 2 steps sideways to get in line with the player and kicks the ball into him. This is NOT stopping the release of the ball – it is a keeper making a mistake.
2. The only time a player is forced to retreat is when there is a designated distance from the ball required (i.e. 10 Yards for a freekick, 2 Yards for a throw-in). As long as the player does not impede the keeper he is not breaking any rules and as he does not motion towards the keeper and is outside the area of where the keeper is allowed to play the ball, he cannot be deemed to be impeding him.
3. The most damning is that the keeper has broken a rule. Keepers are allowed 6 seconds with the ball in hand before releasing it. The keeper is shown with ball in hand for 9 seconds in this clip and presumably had it in his hands prior to this as well. Wilson signals this to the referee at 0:04 seconds saying the keeper is time wasting. He does not retreat because he believes the keeper will put the ball on the floor and waste further time. He has no intention of blocking the goalkeeper, purely to stop further time wasting.
The correct decision is either to:
1. Allow play to continue and award the goal
2. Stop play for the original offence, yellow card the goalkeeper and award Bournemouth an indirect freekick from just next to the penalty spot.
The referee is wrong. Wilson did not commit an offence as he does not act to prevent the goalkeeper releasing the ball.
Definitely a goal.
Swansea done it to Liverpool.
We (Tranmere) done it to Swansea.
Why can't Bournemouth do it to Cardiff?
Goal.
Terrible decision. An attacker can't prevent a keeper from releasing the ball, but that doesn't mean he can't stand still to see what the keeper's doing. He picked his spot while the keeper was still standing there – he didn't move a muscle to prevent the keeper from releasing the ball; he's not required to run away from the keeper (by standing there he's making sure the keeper doesn't just drop the ball to his feet). The keeper deliberately kicked it into him and the ref was sucked in
when the ball hit on the player,he standing on the line,so it's a foul.

Get in. Thanks ref. Time to get promoted. From a watford fan 😉
Shouldn't be allowed. Great reffing
Should have been a goal. Wilson had every right to stand where he was standing, he did NOT try to interupt the drop kick. Should have been a goal
Goal
I'm a Cardiff fan and at first, thought it should have stood… but after a closer look, Wilson moves his left leg just as Moore is about to kick it. I know it's petty but that's enough to be judged as interfering.
it was allowed for Michael owen
The referee was quite right to disallow the goal as he was deliberately blocking the keeper's view. I was sitting directly behind the goal it was scored in and i'm a qualified referee so I'm bound to know whether that decision was right or wrong. Also, one of the chief FAW referees said in one of our meetings that "the referee was spot on with that decision" because he did indeed impede the goalkeeper.
yes it was
Goal the ball was kicked Wilson didn't move so yeah it's a goal
Goalkeepers get too much protection. If you win a header next to them it's a foul for stopping them catching the ball and now this? Joke
do ya know the rules of football m8
How was it a yellow card ref and it's a goal
That's a goal
If he'd moved and followed the keeper across the box, then it would have been a fair decision. But because Wilson stood still, he's done nothing wrong and the goal should stand.
I'm a registered referee and my opinion is:
You're not allowed to prevent the keeper from releasing the ball.
He had clear intentions to block the keeper and did not vacate the area, he stood there.
No goal!
ITZ A GOAL
Goal for me stupid ref
Definitely a goal
Better question is how is it not a goal?!?!
Ah….5th year in the Premiership approaching…:
Why am I seeing these in my recommendation
Anybody thinking it’s weird getting this recommended after 4 years
You can't obstruct the keeper
Lol here after the brighton incident
Whos here after the liverpool disallowed goal?
People watching this in 2021
Ref was a joke, Wilson didn't make a move, the goalkeeper kicked it at him so Wilson has every right to kick it in the net, no yellow card
Just shows Lee Masons always been a terrible referee
Almost 8 years later, Lee Mason still Lee Mason
