Joachim Andersen’s own goal saw Palace slip to defeat at Villa Park, after Wilfried Zaha was denied a superb goal on his return to action by a tight VAR call.
Said it before and say again … apart from the lack of a solid goalscorer … its the midfield thats always been the problem. Max Meyer failed, Connar Gallagher made PV look better than he actually is, Will Hughes sadly is just not going to made the grade … big big problems. If we scrap through this season next season without fixing the midfield could be the last in EPL for a while.
Next 3 matches are Man City, Brighton, Arsenal. So, that's zero points. Regardless, with Vieira in charge it is unlikely there will be another win all season. Parish needs to do something or it will be relegation.
Does any of our team at Palace know where the goal is these days, this time they found out but lads, it has to be the opposing teams goal not our own, why doesn't Vieira give someone else from the reserve side, or under 21's they couldn't do any worse could they, 4 goals in the last 9 matches and what's going to happen when Zaha leaves, he at least knows what the goal looks like.
We NEED to start richards he is such a good player and just what we need in the defence just look how he played against united dont waste a talent like that on the bench he would’ve done wonders against villa. We also need a solid midfielder that is able to take controll and be a pillar that helps us out in the attack but has that bit of defensive skill as well. Then lastly we have such skilled attacker so i really don’t get why you still play ayew when it should be lw: Zaha, cam: Eze, rw: Olise and st: Edouard. Then if this doesent work we can try substituting target man mateta and sub ayew on just to get some fresh feet. The biggest thing is tho morale we have great players it just doesn’t feel like we have the chemistry right now we really need to work on that.
Another dismal performance from the midfielders! They let us down. Guita was pretty good, made a few saves. Despite the og, Andersen picked himself up and played well. A solid performance from the CB's, but the wide backs played terrible. They need to stop getting so far foward. Zaha was alright. As I said, it was the midfielders again. Get rid of Viera, get rid of the midfielders, and hopefully our problem can be sorted. Dip into free agents or something… Anything to sort this shambles.

Crystal Palace is still without a win in 2023, I am worried. We're playing too sloppy.
As soon as Zaha came back, Palace started playing better. Unlucky he was offside for his amazing goal, though. Just shows how good Zaha is.
Clown show.
Figures… Clueless #Vieiraout
As always, the only good bit was the fans.

W. Zaha No Goal After VAR + Own Goal From Joachim Andersen. Crystal Palace Defeat Against Aston Villa In The Villa Park Stadium.
0:43: ZAHA looking at the linesman like he already knew he was offside. He shud have just gone ahead to celebrate his goal.
Where is coutinho

To be fair. Villa are a good team we didn’t stand a chance. Top top top team villa are

Riddle.
Team A scores 2 goals.
Team B scores zero goals.
Team A loses.
How?
Ps: well done Aston villa
I wonder if Roy wants his job back ?
Mid table mediocrity looks pretty appealing at the moment
