I’m sure that in all my years of being a WHU fan (1963), Noble has not been the most valuable player we have ever had; his place in the current team is not assured as he comes towards the end of his career, but I think the man epitomises the true loyal West Ham player. Along with Bonds, Moore and Hurst, I can’t think of any other that is claret and blue through and through. I do hope that when his career ends and if he wants it, a place is found for him at WHU – coaching or whatever.
You need players, coaches and a manager to make a team and, for the first time in a long time, WHU have it all. I know that there was one golden season with Cottee and McAvennie but most clubs have a single exceptional season in them. I think that this WHU have the potential to be there long term.

As a Watford fan who didn't see the game, thanks to West Ham for uploading the extended highlights as I was curious to see the latest catastrophic defensive mistakes that led to their goals and the other videos didn't show the Masina one that led to WH's third. Indeed, what the hell was he doing ducking out of the ball and going upfield instead of back!? What an idiot, but another impressive win for them against us, to think we could've had someone like Bowen.
