      MFP Willock Barnes

Would be my guess. Maybe Willock further back and big Joe on the wing??

    2. Improvement with no Murphy but I’m struggling to see what Willock and Joelinton being a side that needs technicality and control.

Looks like Jaissle has learned his lesson from all the previous atrocious performances and decided once again not to have a midfield

    4. I’m happy to give a manager some grace in adapting to a new league and having some failed experiments, but if we don’t switch to 3 midfielders, I’m concerned that Jaissle has no interest in being anything other than a young German Allardyce

I desperately hope it is a change in shape to a three man midfield but if not… I’m not optimistic.

Get battered two games in a row and keep the formation with a single change to the lineup.

      We’re getting melted

    7. Guys I get things are grim but I would prefer we don’t run our children midfielder and winger into the ground.

    8. If it hadn’t been for Captain-Eyed Joe, we’da lost the midfield a long time ago, where did you come from, where did you go, where did you come from, Captain-Eyed Joe?

85m on players who aren’t up to starting in the PL in key positions. Cracking stuff

    10. Absolutely astounding to me that Jaissle has only made the one change of taking Murphy out and putting Joelinton in.

He’d better have made some big tactical adjustments otherwise we’re going to be taken to the cleaners by Villa

    11. Was having quite a good day. Then looked at this. Oh well, hope they prove my increasing sense of doom wrong.

    12. MFP as right wing then? With Wissa at 9 and Willock at 10? I don’t mind it. Especially with Joe and Nico as a double pivot.

Just hope there’s been at least a slight tweak in the tactics

    13. I think schar would be a good choice to improve our attack. He has great vision and can deliver the long passes

    14. Not sure on the 4-2-3-1 again but no Murph and Willock as the 10 is an improvement, although again Botman still scares me

But I’m saying Big Joe hat-trick. HWTL

The most positive thought I can summon is that MJ’s basketball tactics could be oddly well suited to playing Emery and this could be a front 3 of Barnes/Wissa/Pardo with Willock in behind, Nico/Joelinton deeper which could work.

Equally likely Pardo/Barnes play on the same wing, Willock and Wissa both at 10, we get endlessly pressured by giving away aimless long balls (again) and for some reason Murphy off the bench doesn’t turn it all around.

    16. Fuck sake i’d convinced myself this game was tomorrow and my Saturday wouldn’t be ruined by this absolute shower of shite.

      Ahh well here we go

    17. How he hasn’t broken up Botman and thiaw paired at CB is beyond me… Unless BDB isn’t fully fit, and/or he thinks they’ll be better with some actual protection in front of them from Joe.

I’m very, very unconfident. A bad result/performance here and it could turn really nasty for Jassle.

    18. I’m not 100% sold on the formation but they definitely have to tighten that gap between defence and midfield as the lack of control in that area is causing individual errors which are costing us massively.

Also Wissa just didn’t affect the game at all in that deeper role, needs to be higher up the pitch. Just think Jaissle needs to find balance quickly as it’s not a bad team on paper.

    19. Don`t think he is going to mess with that Wissa & Pardo combination (unfortunately) so RW for Willock it is.
