Thing is we’re not BIG until we can spend like those basket case clubs.

Big six in my view is based on revenue, spending power and the sly/greedy 6 who tried to leave for the super league.
I wouldn’t take issue with it, we know they are disproportionately covered in the media.

Yes BBC, it will exist as long as you and all the other lazy journos fill your websites with clickbait shite like this.

I find it interesting that the very existence of the article answers the question that the headline is posing.

Bbc used to be the one. Can’t be fucked with it anymore.

Spurs could get relegated, man u could get no european football for 10 years and they’d still refer to them as the big 6. Its a culture, that culture wont change until they change the pundits reporting on it and a new era is brought it of new teams consistantly hitting that top 6.

This is getting obessive and silly at this point.

It’s the branding that needs to change. The “big 6” are really the “revenue 6”. There’s a different big 6 if you choose a different category. Whether it’s history, or trophies won, Villa would be in that “big 6”. It’s utter codswallop.

Why would they give us our flowers? We’ve had one adequately positive result in the league and battered a poor Turkish side.
People begging for publicity when we’d just over analyse it regardless. Go read Tanswells article if you’re that desperate.

I’m not sure what’s happened by the quality of journalism at the BBC has dropped to an all time low.
For me it used to be the most reliable source of information, with articles being often informative and non-biased. But for the past 10 years, the amount of slop, and unjournalistic articles has risen ten fold.

The disappointing thing is that they don’t go into detail of which teams have been filling the gap – only mention this year and minor comments of us and a few others (us included). Just another article about the “big six” and all the problems they have.

Don’t even care at this point. We’ll do our talking on the pitch.

Honestly who cares what the bbc has to say anyway, if they wrote a sharticle and said we were the best team that’s ever graced the game, would that make it so?

ESL (European Super League) 6 is more apt for those scumbag clubs
