      Now imagine if Leigh survived that last few seconds of that round and went out the next round and got devastatingly KO'd. British boxing fans would have said that's the ref/ trainers faults for not stopping it earlier. Damned if you do, and damned if you don't. British public at their finest again.

      The evidence shows the vast majority don't get over a heavy knockdown and are quickly KOd after it , sighting rare times that doesn't happen is not justification to allow them to continue , that's the equivalent to ignoring the overall positive trend on a graph and cherry picking a dip and saying see that's the trend

      It was a Champion ship fight mate FOUR things wrong with that stoppage 1. Davidson Had NO idea HOW much time was left on that clock and he should have. 2. LARA was not sent back to the mutual corner which would have taken more time off that clock Davidson DID NOT say anything about that either. 3. He could have called that fight in the corner as Wood could have clinched for the remaining seconds. 4. The Ref was Looking at Woods eyes and Body and was going to let him continue. I think Leigh Woods statement after the fact was to SAVE Davidson from getting flack.

      These guys are full of it , any man that think what Ben Davidson did was a good decision, clearly is no real man. This is guy talking about Leigh woods gets to fight another day … what’s the point for a rematch when if Leigh woods frigging slips on the mats in the 1st round , what’s to prevent Ben Davidson from throwing his shirt in the ring

      Presumably if the Fury v Usyk fight was big enough for the Saudis then the fight would already be signed and announced for Saudi Arabia.

      Of course Eddie is bias (as is Gareth who was paid to host the Tyson Fury live shows), but his logic is pretty sound.

      I don't rate Ben as a trainer he may be great at getting lads fit but his corner talk is woeful.
      Great stoppage by Ben though.
      Saved him getting kod maybe badly hurt in rnd8.
      It was over he was still allover the gaff 40/50 secs after it ended.
      Say no more.

      I wouldn't be a Ben Davidson fan, but he was on the money with his call. The way Leigh Wood went down and still unsteady on his feet, I'd have called it the same. As a coach sometimes you have to protect a boxer from themselves and I would err on the side of caution 100% of the time. My heart goes out to Leigh Wood, he boxed brilliantly and is a worthy champion and he'll come again.

      either or for me. Can't blame Ben for pulling him out but I think fighters at world level deserve to go out on their shield.. Leigh is like a wounded lion he still had a chance. Maybe drop down a few levels if this is Ben's stance

      Rubbish.. so what we going to stop a fight everytime a fighter goes down? Oh he may get hurt!! WTF Its Boxing not table tennis. 10 seconds is all he needed to grab a rest then decide. If you follow this stupid argument then Boxing gets even worse than the shiteshow its becoming. man up or take up netball FFS..

      If it hadn't been at the end of the round he'd have point. I think everyone who didn't agree with it, felt that way because it was only a few seconds left and he could've had a minute to recover.

      Correct decision. Wood vs conlan rematch would be good next.

      Wardley vs adeleye needs to happen much like dubois vs joyce both can still move on well after , need to stop these upcoming avoiding each other . Let's be honest they ain't challenging the big boys anytime soon.

      Be quiet Gareth no one cares what you say. Davidson is an idiot. This is the same Davison that was ready to throw the towel in when Fury went down in the 12th in his 1st fight against Wilder. But security and Freddie Roach stopped him. Imagine if he would av been allowed to that ? We'd av a different boxing timeline
