  1. Barca has a propaganda media company that are made to slander or degrade the reputation of De Jong, they had fans attack him with lies/propaganda. Nasser also used this propaganda media machine for a lot of his players & opposition. I think when they did that, they did try to force him out.

  2. Of course we need him. Imagine if we signed De jong or Bellingham as our number 8 next to Casemiro. That & a striker like Osimhen or Vlahović would make us serious title challengers.

  3. You see this united team and how they play then you can clearly understand why ten hag wanted de jong. He immediately makes the team better in terms of progression. Erisken is brilliant in terms of his passing and maybe even better than de jong in that regard but he can't carry the ball like de jong. De jong offers progression both through passing and dribbling.

  4. Given how unlikely it seems that he'll leave Barcelona (he doesn't want to), I wonder if the recruitment team has alternatives that Erik would be comfortable with. I do think he should be the priority for that position but if not him, then who? Because Eriksen can't be the starter for that position going into next season if we truly want to compete for the league.
