Not being biased Gakpo scored a good goal but other than that he was poor.
I don't think Gakpo is good enough for PL and definitely not for our system.
If I'm Southgate I'm now gonna play a Man City style of football, I've now got enough players in the squad who are trained to play that type of game – saka, sterling, grealish, white, stones, foden, ramsdale, walker, Philips. You have enough players there who are now naturally inclined to play that type of football. The best teams are not necessarily made up of the best individuals but function efficiently as a whole
I'm all for stamping out time wasting, but not sure a world cup being played in 35c + heat is the right one to experiment with 20mins extra time in
Saw lots of press news yesterday that PSG are showing an interest in Saliba and he would be interested in a move to PSG. Any truth in this ??
Weah looked decent for the USA.
Has Balogun been called up to play for them yet?
Tom, I'm from Dallas; I've watched Jesus Ferreira play in person, and with the right coaching he could be very good. For a guy who is undersized, he's unsurprisingly quick but surprisingly strong against larger centre halves. Moreover, his movement, work rate, defending from the front, and finishing are very good, and his passing is good if not spectacular. He's the type of player Arteta likes, and he'd come at a relatively low price. I'd like to see what Arteta can do with him; all the elements are there.
Another Jesus?
Tom, for me Bellingham is a game changer. I think if you can get him you pay whatever it takes.
In the 75th minute, Matt pinged a ball, b-line to one of their forwards and could have set up a goal. Yea, he's working on his distribution
Kim Kallstrom. Arsenal legend. 😂😂😂
It's interesting Tom we are linked with Jesus Ferreira who is another small technical forward 👀
Hey Tom! Me feeling poorly wiff cold.
Saudi Arabia v Argentina……WOW. Wish I had a bet on that. Must have been great odds.
Need to be very careful spending anything over 50 mill. So Mudryk might be a step too far
Ferreira is very much a central forward, can play as a sole striker or second striker, often moves deeper as a second striker or even Cam. My comp would be a lesser Nkunku. Runs hard and relies on work rate. Would be a positive move and might be USMT's long term future number 9 (Along with Balogun).
Big fan of bringing in both the Thurams as well.
Kubo is who I expect to play well and breakout in the WC.
Great video Tom
I picked this up from the BBC commentary, just brilliant!!!
"Oh, this just gets better and better!
Raheem Sterling finds Bukayo Saka in the Iran box and he does the rest. He cuts inside, past one man, past two, a dummy and then a rolled in low finish. Took a deflection but who cares.
It was like he was weaving past traffic cones. Two for the Arsenal man."
Ferreira’s nowhere near good enough. My jaw hit the floor when I saw his name
The problem with wanting Bellingham is that after this World Cup so will everyone else, and he will be priced out of our range.
