[Robbie Fowler] – long time ago, in a Premier League far, far away… Before VAR. Before social media. Before £100m footballers. There was moi 28 August 1994 — 3 goals. 4 minutes 33 seconds. (Still the best in my eyes, sorry Sadio) The fastest Premier League hat-trick ever at the time.

    1. Its was my birthday present for my 16th Birthday, my first Liverpool home game. Such a natural finisher, I loved to watch Robbie play.
Next home game was as a student years later, Blackburn and a very young Stevie G came on late on for his debut.
Like many others, I’m priced out of attending these days but I’m grateful for the times I did get to go.
Somewhere out there in the world is Kjetal from Norway who sourced all our tickets, I love you dude, I hope you’re ok.

    2. If I scored a hat trick in four and a half minutes, I’d be reminding everyone about it too!

    3. I think the most impressive thing about Fowler is how pundits/ ex players/ fans still generally agree that he’s the most natural finisher they’ve ever seen

In a world where we’ve witnessed Shearer, Owen, Henry, Torres, Drogba, Suarez, Ronaldo, Kane, Aguero, Haaland etc in the premier league, Fowler’s name still crops up even today as the best finisher

“fastest premier league hattricks at the time”. Wey yeah Robbie, there’d probably been like 4 before yours.

    5. Absolute proof this sub is full of scruffs who don’t watch footy, nevermind Liverpool.

Slagging off God, repeating newspaper sensational headlines, saying he’s on coke because they don’t understand the context of that goal celebration

I get records are there to be broken but surely Fowler thought that one was safe forever.

    7. Yeah, but before that there was someone who scored 4 touch downs in one game for the Polk High School Panthers

I know this sounds insane, it’s one of the weirdest things ever to happen to me. But I called it the night before. “3-0, Robbie Fowler hat trick” to any and all that would listen. It was just locked into my brain. I was FLOORED when it actually happened.

    9. i always thought fowler was the best english striker i ever seen.. if not for his injuries i truly believed he would have gone on to be the greatest. maybe im biased as a liverpool fan but i dont care. left foot, right foot, long shots, headers.. free kicks
