Anyone who thinks declan rice is even a decent player needs their heads testing.. another British hyped up player like Phillips. Just a joke
Souness knows what he's talking about this bloke ?? Doesn't
He criticized Casemiro simply because he hadn't seen him play in LaLiga. He thought that Kroos and Modric did all the work while Casemiro was just a steady eddy during their journey together. He was not. Casemiro was Zidane's magic trick to solving the midfield issue that Ancelotti had in his first era at Madrid. Zidane dropped James and played Casemiro so that they didn't leak any goals. It was brilliant. Later, during the 2018, 19, 20 seasons when Kroos and Modric got old, Casemiro was simply the midfield cog that did all the work. Running, closing the gaps, creativity and defending.
Now, Souness is a legend of the game and when he criticized Pogba, he was right. The same is with Rice. Souness has seen him play and he knows that he isn't a great player. I hope United have a brain and they do not waste more than a 100 million on this ordinary player. I hope they sign De Jong instead and get Sabitzer permanently.

Totally agree with Souness!! I honestly don’t know why everyone thinks Rice is worth that money. He hardly creates anything. He Passes back more than forward. In fact Maguire is a better player coming forward and build up play.

So what if Rice plays for England. He's one of Safegates favourite love children. Likewise his the son he never had, Mason Mount. The human equivalent of bland Vanilla.
