  1. Honestly he might be a starter in case Madders gets injured (God forbid). This will pretty much mean that all of our 10s are out, so he might be able to slot right in

  2. Please don’t forget that he is 17 and absolutely looks it. The more minutes he gets this year the better, but the majority of those should not be with the first team.

    I thought Malachi Hardy looked particularly good in the preseason games. He was calm on the ball and always seemed to make the right decision, and not just the risk-free one. Centre backs obviously take longer to develop and I couldn’t imagine him having to defend set pieces against proper premier league units just yet, but he looked every bit the modern centre back in the making.
