Look at the gerrard, lampard and scholes debate, if gerrard had the same amount of prem trophys as the other 2 there wouldnt be any debate at all.
No one remembers you unless your important to the winning of trophies but being the leading goal scorer for club, league and country is one of the best legacies you could put forward. It’s his career, at the end it will be what did YOU do? I helped a team win a little cup or scored more than anyone ever. People don’t remember Alan Shearer for winning the premier league with Blackburn rovers as much as they do about him scoring goals.

Jimmy Greaves has the real record which is 357 goals.Getting the Premier League scoring record would be nice but it's meaningless in reality. I wish they would put up the real records he is chasing and stop pretending that English Football started in 1992.
To have one of the best strikers in English footballs history, breaking all the goal scoring records and you failed to win a trophy with a player like that speaks volumes of how bad Tottenham are as a club. Graveyard for players who have ambition, if you want to win trophies Tottenham is the last club you should join and no spurs fan can even argue that. Harry Kane stats speak for themselves, not only Tottenhams best ever striker but one of the best ever in English football and you still fail to win a trophy, shambles of a club.
In english football we don’t give someone legendary status based on trophies as it’s such a team sport….

Football is subjective. If you were to name your ultimate team of all time it will likely be different to the next person’s. Does that make it wrong? No.
We all have different opinions. However, objectively Harry Kane is the leading all time Spurs goal scorer, is level for most goals with England and is hunting down most Premier League goals. He is objectively one of the leading goal scorers of all time. You might debate whether he should have won a trophy or not but you can’t debate the level he reached as the goal figures are there for all to see.
He doesn’t HAVE to win anything, but he deserves to.

Kane is already a legend. World class striker. To score so many goals in the PL shows what a player he is. doing it for 8 years. Messi Ronaldo for me will be remembered more for there goals and assist then the titles they won. Messi scoring 91 goals in one year will be watched and talked about more then him winning the CL or even the World Cup. As for Micah statement of defending Kane played in those times and still scored goals.

Why is it that Messi “had” to win the world cup to become the goat but Kane wins zero and can considered a PL legend? He’s a great striker but 100% needs titles and cups for legacy.
Not winning anything major definitely counts against him as a player if Kane had won the CL or PL when they were so close instead of bottling it he would be up there as one of the greatest strikers instead of just a really good striker.

Shearer won the pl with a team like Blackburn lol, harry is good striker and is lucky to score in an era where hard tackles and closing down is extinct from the game.
It's crazy that someone like Daniel Amartey has a premiere league medal(5 games for Leicester in 15/16) and Kane had no medals.
I don’t buy into the trophies a lot of players with trophies that wo t be remembered
I am not a Tottenham fan but people would be blind not to acknowledge Kane as an incredible/excellent striker in the premier league. The caveat will always be that he has won absolutely nothing which doesent propell him to greatness in the history of the sport, when i say win something i mean something significant like the premier league etc.
