  1. Herdman was good taking a garbage team, and made an okay one, but he won't be able to grow much from there. If the money is right, he better go away and repeat the formula.

  2. And another thing was going on in CONCACAF US has no c OP coach Mx the same thing pretty much now CON added to the list, the reggae boyz seem to have all sorta issue with their federation even though the bring Icelandic coach this month. Shit just crazy right when Concacaf suppose be getting better damn

  3. A lot of unknowns with this situation. I think Herdman has been the perfect ambassador for building football here! Will be interesting to see how those in charge of Canada Soccer respond? I hope he stays!

  4. It seems like he was destined to lead Canada into the 2026 World Cup. He still has unfinished business with the men’s team, but maybe he simply has the itch to move on.

  5. Hopefully Canada can get someone better. I didn't like how Canada had very little strategy and showed zero aggression in the box during the World Cup.

  6. A move like this makes no sense. I can see him leaving for a regular managing gig back in the UK in the Sky Bet leagues but it's a huge downgrade to go to NZ.

  7. Call his bluff and tell him to enjoy coaching 8 games a year against Fiji and Papua New Guinea in the middle of nowhere. NZ has a terrible time getting anyone to play them because nobody wants to travel that far for a game and scheduling them as a home game friendly doesn't sell tickets. Herdman's ceiling is the Canadian National Team, he should hold on to that job for dear life.

  8. 52 Minutes ago Sportsnet posted an article that Herdman and the CSA announced that he will remain coach until 2026 at least. 👏🏻

  9. our men should play our ladies
some might think this is crazy but. our ladies did win gold at the olympics. so i think the men's team could learn something by playing a quality opponent.
We need more of this. playing quality opponents. this is how you get better. you get enough respect through your play to go to a Brazil and they field their A squad. This is what you want. Then one day….maybe.. just maybe. you get to a point where you go into this game going… i think we can win. Ya… we got a long ways to go for that. lol.
Keep working hard boys. one step at a time. We made it to the world cup. now. we need to improve more. get to the next one. start beating people above us in the standings more often.

  10. I hope Herdman stays! He has made me a believer in this team! I love the attacking approach to the game and it is a refreshing change from the sit back counter attack option.
Give him what he wants and let's keep him!

  11. We have a great generation of players and the CSA has no clue on how to bring this team to a competitive and profitable level. Resign and hire someone who has a clue.
